Most people TRY to get up and fight again or do a take down move while on the ground. That's why people kick a person if they are moving or tryin to get up to make sure they stay down. If the guy gets up a little and grab your legs to take you down then he can frick you up.
I've been on the ground in a few fights, roll over to my stomach to protect my face then I work my way up. I NEVER stayed on the damn ground in a fight.

watching it again (720HD)... and it does look someone that is as tall as JJ, but he's bent over so he doesn't look as tall.

The guy who Jefferson (allegedly) kicked is not the one with three broken vertebrae. I am going to speculate that Jefferson is getting charged with 2nd degree battery because the kick caused serious damage. The guy with the broken bones was kicked by numerous people. I am going to speculate here that they won't be charged with 2nd degree battery because you can't prove which one actually broke his bones. I am also surprised that no one is being charged with aggravated battery. A shoe can be considered a weapon.
