Mine was the 2005 game when Bama was ranked #3 and undefeated at 8-0. I sat right next to Brodie Croyle's Grandfather, and remember his expressions everytime LaRon Landry kept safety blitzing and decleating him three or four times. Great game and awesome come from behind win on the road in the SEC.

LSU wins:

- In 1982, beating them 20-10 at Legion Field. I believe we held Bama to no first downs in the 1st half. We ended Bama's 11-game winning streak in the series.

This game came to mind immediately. My last chance to BEAT BAMA as a Tiger Band drummer. Great game by Dalton Hilliard.

I have a long history as a Bama hater. My uncle lived in Tuscaloosa, was close to the program and was one of the big wheel Bama supporters back in the 60's/early 70's. He used to get us in to Bama's closed practices and I got to meet Bear Bryant under his infamous
"Tower" one year. He got us tickets to the Bama game in TS every other year and the seats were always right in the middle of the Bama section next to TMDB. Grew up hearing that Roll Tide shite and that Gump fight song.

ERIC MARTIN 1981-1984

Thanks uptown ruler was about to post the correction. Eric would have never dropped that pass to good a pair of hands. I may be wrong but I think it was Tracy Porter or Willie Turner who dropped it though it could have been Orlando McDaniel but I dont think so.

Thanks, My Bad- It could not have been EC; Not sure now who it was.

1979 We lost 3-0 in a driving rainstorm in Tiger Stadium. Memorable because my girlfriend (now my wife) and I sat through the whole game with trash bags for rain gear. Any woman who'd sit through the rain in a trash bag for an entire game, is a real Tiger fan and a keeper!!

1982 was unbelievable. The confidence of the LSU team and fanbase was something that day. LSU had to have had close to 12,000 in Legion Field that day.

1986 was pretty special. For sheer drama, the 1988 and 2007 are hard to beat. My seats at the '88 game were between around the 30 between the 50 and the other end zone. Doyle's kick looked wide and short, and even the sea of Alabama fans surrouding us thought it was way bad.

Later that night,I saw for the first time how the kick was wide by about 6 ft. I about died.

in 98 when andrew zow threw that td pass over robert davis(?) in the last minutes of the game. just before that we were all laughing and saying how we loved to play alabama cuz of how bad dubose sucked. then we walked out as the entire alabama fan section stayed and cheered. that sucked.

Pigs fly game in '93. We rented an RV about 14 strong of old friends and did Curley impressions all the way up.

Little did we know the Tuscaloosa bars stayed open till 4 and we were young enough to be up to the task that Friday night, even for a JP morning game.

Well the next day we were hurting but we made our presence felt in the unexpected LSU upset.

However the water line broke in our RV and in bad need of showers after the game we ascended upon a Bama dormitory to shower.

Just as we finished a dorm RA asked us what we were doing there.

Leaving we said. We went and ate some overrated Dreamland ribs and cheered for the Tigers into the night.

Geaux Tigers!!

The 1979 game was described as the worst 3-0 beating ever. My senior year in high school Went to almost every game.

LSU blew out Colorado 44-0 in Boulder and went
3.5 quarters not giving Rice a first down winning 47-3. I remember telling my friend we could beat USC after the Rice game. The irony: he said we could'nt and even if we could, the refs would'n t let us..... incredible.....

But back to the Bama game. No way was that a blowout. The field was a quagmire and Bear simply had LSU pinned all night. Actually, had LSU not dropped a couple wide and I mean WIDE open passes (was it Porter who dropped them?) LSU would have won that game. We only had like 180 yards of total offense that dreary night, but Bama had like 275. Bear outcoached Cholly Mac that night. He played field position with a defense that won a NC later on that year.

It was Mac's last year, and we were so close so many times.

LSU lost to #1 USC by 5 points, on a questionable flag. We lost to #1 Bama by 3 points, #3 Florida State by 5 points when Jessie Myles fumbled, #11 Georgia by 7 points on a kickoff return by a TD ..... it was so close but so far, just like Mac winning 72% of his games but never winning a NC.

on yeah, we also lost to TULANE.

LSU/Bama 2004- my first game in Tiger Stadium. I was a HS sophmore, and had never seen a CFB game in person before.. never experienced anything like Death Valley. I'll always remember the explosion of noise from the crowd when Cameron Vaughn picked up a fumble and ran it back for a TD in the 3rd to give LSU a 13-10 lead. From that point onward, I knew I wanted to be here at LSU.

Watching Joe Addai blow througha wide open hole
to seal the deal was fun too. I saw the safety blitz and the whole thing opened up.

Sort of like what is going to happen this weekend!!
