1981 opening game vs. Bama - Freshman year. Camped out in line at the Stadium the night before with 20+ cases of beer. As soon as the gates opened we bolted for the 45 yard line seats. This was back in the day when the student section had great seats.
And then the sun melted us. Already dehydrated by from the beer the night before, my roommate, his buddies and I are lucky to be alive today. Crappy game and thank God the soft drink vendors were there early as well! 27-7 the bad guys.

1982. I just turned 7. My dad took me to see LSU beat down FSU in the Fog and Oranges rained down on the field! A memory I'll always cherish.

1976 Vanderbilt game in Baton Rouge, but at the time I was a Vandy fan. First LSU game as an LSU fan was the 1980 Florida State game. Shout out 16-0.First play I saw as a student was a fumble.

With Dad in '67 or '68 vs a scrappy Tulame in N.O at old Sugar Bowl.
LSU was consistently in Top 20 and Top 10 for most of my adolescent life and it was a good time to be a Tiger Fan.
Younger fans should step back a savor this present period, as it can go sour quick.

LSU vs. Auburn back in the 90's. I went to my best friends house with all the other neighborhood kids. My friend's younger brother loved to piss off his step dad and wore an Auburn sweatshirt that his mom found at a garage sale. LSU lost and the stepdad grabbed the younger brother and crossed out Auburn and wrote LSU over it in permanent marker. It was hilarious, but after that I never missed a game at their house, partly because I always wanted to see what their step dad would do, but became a die hard LSU fan because of him. He eventually developed a drug problem and passed away a few years back. One of the coolest people I ever met, before the drugs got to him.

67 @ home, 68 was not really close (34-10); I recall being at the Tu Stadium with my dad and him being very annoyed that it was pretty close most game and final was 13-3 according to history for 1964 game, and was really chilly. Could this be the one you refer?

Could be. I recall the next year LSU blew them out like 60-0 in BR, a favorite of mine, but not 1st game I attended.
Tulane week was pretty intense back then.

That would be it then according the history section!
I remember bundling up during that game as a youngster and we struggling with greenies. May have been like my 2nd or 3rd game.
Was always, wierdest was the game one right after Cuban Missle Crisses 62 and year after that was day after JFK assasination!

First game as student was 1963 TA&M, Tigers won 14-6.
Great experience then, still is today. It just don't get old!

Been to many exciting games over the last 61 years. But each new year, the anticipation of the upcoming football season is always an exciting time. Can't wait for 2014. Bring on the TIGERS.

I've been to three, no SEC opponents
But my first was watching the 2007 team destroy La Tech. Best part about it was being able to see the championship team live

I don't know. I think it was around 1963 or so.
The first game that I can tell you who LSU was playing and can remember specifically moments from that specific game was the 1966 Cotton Bowl. I remember the epic nature of the game. The matchup. The intensity of the play. We were sitting down very low and you could hear the pop of the pads and crack of the helmets. I can still see Joe LaBruzzo busting through the hole off tackle. Joe is one of my all-time favorite Tigers.
I wish he was still around so we could celebrate him.
