In the four years that I played D1 baseball... I took BP only once or twice a year! It was a reward given to us by the coaching staff if one of the pitchers threw a complete game shutout. Other than that, we were on shag duty or running poles during BP.

It's really not possible. It's even more weird that PM is asking kids on the bench if they can hit. Having to ask about high school is puzzling...but hes been on campus a long time, and our HC hasn't seen him in bp?

when I went to pick the kid up from his post graduation party, the major conversation heard was about his hit and the press conference (at 0145 this morning in Flowood, MS)

They needed someone to play the infield to give them two full teams to scrimmage and Bain was his district's MVP his senior year at Dutchtown as a short stop and a pitcher.
So Mainieri had Bain fill in at second and third base during fall practice so they could scrimmage.

Because Bain could play infield and the other pitchers couldn’t. People have to be trolling getting on Mainieri for this. He was recruited as a pitcher.

I'm not getting on Mainieri. Peterson got to live every pitchers dream. It was fun to watch.
