If we had have had a real coach for the last 10 years, we would have been a feared team, not Alabama and Satan. Every year we have so many instate Div 1 players , esp at the skill positions, it's damned near unbelievable. Let's see GoodOleLess go to say S Dakota , and see how his recruiting skills work there. If we could keep just the top 40 players in state, we would contend for the nat'l c'ship every year. We have the players, regardless who the coach is. We just need a leader . Who knows, maybe we actually have one now. We'll know a lot more shortly.

So you know how it works huh ? What happens if we land a REAL coach ? You think these kids don't want to play for a winner ? You think their handlers want them to come play at a team destined to lose 2 or 3 or ever 4 or 5 games, and probably half due to having a CLOWN for a coach. So yes, count me in as one of those fans for willing to settle for the direction the team was headed. We should have fired his arse last year. And you're worried about them leaving state huh ? Well, just hang in there. Maybe your worse fears won't be confirmed.

You coonsasses had a real coach. He won a few championships and lot of games, just not the way you wanted him to so you booted his arse. Maybe you get lucky and maybe not on the next guy, but that isn't a given. A winning coach couldn't hold all of the talent in Louisiana, let the program slip and it will you will see this home grown talent run away. It has happened before. Which available coach can you guarantee won't lose 2, 3, or even 4 or 5 games year? If that is your bench mark you are totally in the dark about the real world.
The hatred for this guy is both funny and frightening. You got what you wanted. He's gone. But pretending that he didn't do good things just shows the ignorance of your fan base. That's the funny part. The scary part is that you believe that you know anything about football.
