Sure, you can teach them to let it get deeper, slap it the other way, "think oppo gap", etc. But it is pretty darn difficult to teach body movements that create deep barrel depth and a path that allows for consistent power
This is straight out of Chris Reid's book "professional hitter and professional lover"

This thread right here just goes to show how many morons that think they know baseball on here. Yes you can work on hitting for timing a fb, yes u can have many drills to enhance timing a fb. Yes u can use many drills to work on hitting a curveball and yes u can work on going opposite field based on the situation but that isn't wtf pm was saying. He was saying Morgan has an ability to go opposite field which is something he see's in his eyes and how he innately "times" his pitches in his natural swing more so that just in the situation that calls for opposite field balls. You can't teach that and he is fricking correct. Batting practice doesn't teach you how to bat .400...it puts you on the path but...in the end the batter has it or he doesnt....the amount of wanna be think they know coaching on this site is insane....

The second gear elite athletes have that the rest of us don’t is insane and a beautiful thing to witness when they turn it on.
I played pick up basketball with a dude that played college ball, pro overseas, and worked out for the Lakers. Nicest dude and was actually an awesome teammate to play with. He knew he was the best on the court by a long shot but he would set up other people on the team and allow them to get shots but then we were about to lose and his face changed and he just went in straight dominating mode. I was like if that can’t make it in the NBA what kind of freaks are playing there.

You think way too highly of your opinions
Not sure if anyone’s ever told you that, but you need to hear it
