Yes but X number of at large spots are for power conferences so that in reality it typically works out to being the top 44-46 with the remainder being smaller conference automatic bids.

Perhaps we are saying two different things, but you said

typically after all the automatic bids that leaves 44-46 spots open.

I'm guessing you're saying you think LSU is one of the top 44-46 teams in the country. Maybe. But you will always have some teams within that group who don't make the NCAA Tournament (usually about 4-6 teams)

Once you take out the "auto-bids" (major and mid-major conferences) there are only 36 at large spots. Last year there were 28 at large selections from the "major" conferences: Big 12, Big Ten, SEC, ACC, Pac 12, Big East. That's 28 out of (then) 75 schools combined. That means in reality a power conf. school like LSU has to be one of the 30 best among 75 schools. Is LSU one of the 34 (or so) best teams among the Big 12, Big Ten, ACC, SEC, Big East? Hopefully. But that is a LOT of competition.

Wade was a horrible coach. Team played shite defense , and his offense was more remedial than my sons 8 year old team.

People who say shite like this are frickin morons.

Wade had multiple teams that were top 10 in offensive efficiency and had a team that was top 10 in defense.

The gaslighting of wades time here is ridiculous.

Hes gone, im fine with moving on, but dont make shite up.

That is all they have.
Orgeron and Wade.

Interesting that Johnson and Mulkey didn't need an excuse.

Yes I phrased it wrong.

Yes that is my opinion.

We can debate the exact number however you want to slice it, but again I believe after having watched us play against 3 legit teams we have enough talent where I think we rank among the 44-46 or 30-34 out of 75 or however you want to slice it.

I see you are not there yet, I understand and respect.

But for me there will be some disappointment if we don't make it with what I think we have as far as talent

If he can coach, why were they down by 20 to UCF?

Some of us have said this since he was hired, but it's pretty funny and sad at the same time how emotional our fan base is to where they only look at a result. I posted a lot of his videos on his offensive philosophy and also have watched him in many many coaching clinics. The guy can flat out coach.
