He's already making as much $$$ as an NFL DC. I sure hope LSU won't let him go to the NFL at least as far as $$$ is concerned.

Maybe he can be our Bud Foster.

According to the paper, the staff has the week off this week, but to your point, I'd think he working more on adding to his base defense for now. He has said it is only his base defense leading up to the bowl practices. He will leave in time, but if you take him at his word, and not just call it coach speak, he said his family's happiness in B.R. was THE main reason he was not looking to go elsewhere after the HC'ing hire. Fournette was quoted late in the season as saying "he is weird. He closes his office door, turns off the lights, sits at his desk and just thinks". This comes across as more of a pro DC mind set, not a college HC.

I think he goes down as the best DC in LSU history when it is said and done

I think you're selling him short. David Aranda will go down as the greatest coach of all time in any sport. I also wouldn't count him out as a possible candidate for POTUS or Messiah. I would let him have my babies

Hopefully Aranda is holding his cell phone 24/7, contacting as many linebackers as he can in the hopes of bringing some beasts to BR
BYU can wait till after spring game

I think he goes to the NFL as a DC over a college HC. Just doesn't seem to have that salesman side that HC's need. He's more of a strict tactician.
