no one is arguing that.....what I am arguing is that there are many other teams that don't have a Mobile QB that their team still has good running games from the RBs....You cannot tell me that our OL is not talented. The guards seem to have gotten worse....and it isn't like we don't have a qb that can't push the ball down field, so teams can't stack the line....or we make them pay....this is coaching, or lack of, by our OC and BK. I'm not even sure it is on Davis, but our scheme in general.

I don't know who y'all is, but most people knew losing one of the best running QBs in the history of college football would hurt our ability to run.

Obviously, but does that mean we can’t adjust to the situation and have at least a decent running game, especially against mighty Nicholls? Maybe not under Kelly.

One thing I have seen you do on here is constantly knight for the mobile qb.

Mobile QBs win games

They don't have to be running QBs to be mobile QBs.

Burrow was mobile, but not really a runner.

Nuss isn't mobile.

quote:

each of the last 4 NC winning qbs averaged roughly 15 yards a game for the season...on average..

And?

quote:

I would imagine pretty similar to what Nuss did last night, which was right at 15 yards on 2 carries.

2 for 13 but he also had 0 sacks b/c we were playing a mid-1AA team.

quote:

I get your agenda,

Our agenda is winning games/titles

quote:

Maybe Nuss is better suited for the NFL where a lot of those championship qbs only run when they have to right?

Nuss can't really do this, though.

apologize for that, just tired of hearing you can't run without a mobile qb.

I agree with the one poster...this isn't a problem with most other teams, it is a problem with BK....and his history has shown that. Nuss might be better suited for a team/oc that is more of a traditional pro style offense. Hell, we can't even get push on teams that are playing 3 man fronts.

You're conflating mobile QB with running QB

Then you're dismissing mobile QB examples from winning teams and trying to project Nuss onto that level (which he's not) by using bad sampling of stats.

The only correct thing you said in this post

He exposed his true thoughts already. The statement you quoted him originally said that people like me are knighting only for black qb’s. Just giving you a heads up on what you are dealing with

I bet he was on the Nuss Buss in 2022. Hell, probably in 2023.

Nuss isn't mobile. bullshite.

His pass that Lacy tried breaking his legs on was a throw on the run out of the pocket and on target.

come on now.

The running game sucks because the rbs cant read a d either.

He looked good when he tucked it and ran it around left end. That's all he has to do.

I guarantee you didn't see Brady or Peyton, Brees, running, so I disagree with this completely. He is mobile in the pocket, even in the game against Ga a few years ago, he was spinning out of tackles and rolling out and hitting big plays. He can move plenty in the pocket and has not been sacked this year.

Yeah he comes across as a guy who really hated Daniels and he’s in multiple threads full on defending any nuss dissent.

He can’t even accept that Stetson and McCarthy were more mobile than nuss

this is just these guys not wanting nuss. He looked very good when he ran that long one in the first half...and knows how to slide which is good. I believe he will start doing that more and more out of necessity....but I also think that we have no one behind him that can get us wins and the coaches know that and are hesitant to let him run...but he is going to have to if we want to keep defenses honest.

His argument was that those qb’s won titles without being mobile. That is flat out wrong.

so the facts don't matter, that they relied on their running to the tune of 15 yards a game....essentially once or twice a game.....again, like Nuss did last night. Got ya.

You beating the drum....by god they were mobile. No, they didn't have to run, only around 15 yards a game, but by god they were mobile. I'm not even saying they were not mobile, I'm saying they didn't do it hardly at all, only in key situations...which nuss can do as well and they need to let him more. If he gets hurt, that's part of it, but he needs to pull it and run 3-4 times a game to keep defenses honest, like he did that one time last night. Clearly the coaches want him getting down quickly....again, I don't think we have anyone behind him that they trust.

no the fk it wasn't. I never said they weren't mobile. I said they did not use their mobility very much, at all. It is logic...if you are running 15 yards a game on the season, you aren't running it much...unless you are gaining 1 or 2 yards a pop. Nuss is capable of pulling it down and gaining yards....just like he did last night. I know they don't want him to, but he is going to need to in key moments, and I suspect as he gains experience, he will do just that. He is not some statue and has good pocket awareness, and can throw on the run while rolling out, which they should do more.
