Again, wtf?

I think it gives me some space to talk about military life, compared to just making up shjt.

Are you sure about that?

“While enrolled at the academies, students have the rank of midshipman (Navy) or cadet (Air Force and Army) and are considered to be on active duty (10 U.S.C. §101(d)). They live in military barracks, wear uniforms, and participate daily in military training and professional development.”

Great. Cadets aren’t in the military as I said to your dumbass in an earlier post. They do not sign service contracts until after graduation. This isn’t OCS, dipshit.

That dude has no clue what he’s talking about. Just wants to be keyboard hero.

I was 12B, basic/ait in Ft lost in the woods. Fully volunteered, enlisted when I was 17. Many years ago.

Yes they are. They are not under an enlistment contract but they are under a contract which basically states if you show up for the first day of class your junior year and fail to graduate you are now an E4 in the regular army and will be sent to a unit based on the needs of the army.

Not sure where you are getting your information but you may want to check your source.

GEUAX ARMY!
They’ll never beat us. This isn’t a football thing. These are the men of West Point. Some of our future leaders. Best and brightest. LSU has some too. Give them the honor they deserve and then beat arse. Those guys sacrifice more than some 5* kid that plays 10 schools for NIL $.
GEAUX ARMY AND GEUAX AMERICA!

GEAUX TIGERS!

It’s senior year and that’s only if you’re found to be unfit to serve as an officer. You’re then “forced” to active duty enlisted to “pay back” your education costs. And even then it’s not absolute.

You’re free to leave a military academy at any other time. Ask Skenes.

So Freshmen and Sophomores are not enlisted per your above statement. Which I guess means all Cadets are not in fact in the military. I had 2 good friends at LSU that went Naval Academy and dropped prior to their third year and had no requirement to serve.

Is this two wrongs make a right. Or are both of you correct depending on time in grade/school.

I took ROTC (second year courses) at LSU for a year, was already in the Guard. Did not take third year because I didn't want to sign another contract with Uncle SAM. If I hadn't been in the Guard I would not have been considered a part of the Military.

Just because you might be right on one point doesn't mean he is wrong on the other.

Oh and tomorrow frick ARMY.

You can “step left” through your junior year. You’re wrong. Your information is outdated, old man.

I ask again, when did you serve? You ignore this.

Then let you think what it takes to even be considered and enrolled into West Point.

Are you trolling or are you really this dumb?

I don’t need to ask Skenes because I already explained that you are free to leave at anytime before the first class of your junior year without any commitment to Uncle Sam . Skenes spent the first day of class his junior year at LSU not at USAFA.

You can leave through your junior year without penalty now is my point. Even as a senior in most cases.

Very rarely do you have cadets that are forced to go enlisted these days.

Only thing this whole situation will do is cause more booing than we would have had if it hadn't been "spoken".
