Yeah. Or at the very least they will put up a facade of an investigation to save face and make it appear that they are trying to clean up the sport. I think they know damn well that if they dig too much they are starting to hurt their own brand. I just hope they don't destroy LSU and then call it a day.

It's all too vague for them to prove a damn thing. All this is BS to begin with. No other teams sign more top players every year than Duke and UK, so why aren't they being investigated? Selective prosecution.

“Baylor, Wake Forest and UMass have already reportedly offered Smart scholarships. Kentucky, LSU, Texas, North Carolina, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State and Oklahoma are among those already expressing interest. And the recruiting process is just getting started”.

So, as a high school freshman he was already getting interest from 3 other SEC schools. No doubt they were recruiting hard. Sour grapes conspiracy theory perhaps??. I’ve seen that suggested here before.
