In WV, there are 4 mountains. There's also a CC skiing area but well stick with downhill.
In order of best conditions:
Snowshoe
Timberline
Canaan Valley
Winterplace
Stay away from Winterplace. Snowshoe is by far the best place to ski. It's owned by Intrawest which owns Mont Tremblant, Steamboat, Whistler, etc. It's an actual resort and has very nice facilites and slopes. A lift ticket for one day is $79. You can check out the website for additional info. I've got a season pass and I'm there about every other week
