WTF is happening in the SEC?!?

Miss St threw for an SEC record 600+ yards on us and yet put up only 2 points in loss to...wait for it...KENTUCKY!?!
Ole Miss puts up 48 points but Bama score 63 for the win!! Combined yardage in that game was 50 miles.
Aggies beat UF after UF looked unstoppable and was being picked to win it all after the first 2 games.
LSU defense looking like the JV team out there giving up huge plays and yards to Miss St and Mizzou?!?
Frick 2020!

Joe Brady wrecked the SEC. It's the only logical answer.

No spring ball. Re-designed practices for social distancing. Guys opting in and out. Periodic cancelled practices due to COVID-19 outbreaks. Empty stadiums.
It’s a minor miracle that every single play of every single possession of every single game isn’t a complete cluster frick. Maybe we should just be grateful for what we have.

This is the only thing wrong in your OP. Florida’s defense has looked terrible since week 1

Everybody modeled they're offense to resemble LSU 2019. I guess they all also stopped caring about defense as well.

Defenses everywhere are sloppy due to effects of the response to COVID.
Whole lot of upsets already this year.
Not that it excuses our issues. But you can’t ignore that reality either.

LSU stinks end of story there
SEC is the Big 12 this yr
Ohio St Clemson are 2 best teams in country
Maybe BAMA 3rd

Yet strangely this didn't seem to affect many programs. Sure Bama gave up a lot of points. SO what? Kiffin is a good OC and they have players on offense.
Moo U's performance was a result of a shitty LSU defensive scheme.
Drinkwitz and Kiffin put in entirely new offenses without spring ball.
Don't use COVID as a cop out.
Don't use BLM as a cop out
This is about coaching and the roster.

Nobody had spring practice, everything else has been down regulated.... young players never had chance to be coached and developed... that being said we somehow dropped the ball.

I’m pretty sure the thread was about all of the weirdness going on in the SEC? Not just LSU’s problems?
Maybe this isn’t the right board but it says so in the title.

You can maybe say that about Clemson, but Ohio St hasn’t played a snap yet.

There are more good QBs in SEC this year than good Defenses

Even though Ohio St hasnt taken a snap yet , we all know they are top 3 and probably top 2 ..its no mystery ..Mise well pencil them in for the play off .. 2 weeks they play the bug eaters .. that will be 50-60 to 10 typr score or worse .

My thoughts exactly.
Without spring practice all teams are struggling.
Without spring practice, combined with an new DC and defensive scheme, we are screwed.
I doubt ten games, with intermingled covid breaks, that there is time to get the problem solved.

Wut? tOSU hasn't even played, and the ACC sucks complete donkey balls.

Rules changes giving offenses major advantages is mostly to blame. I know everyone wants to give a lot of other excuses, but football the way it was played prior to the 2012 season is dead and gone. The targeting rule has done dramatic damage to how defense can be played now.
Like it or not, football has changed forever and will continue to evolve into a less contact sport even more moving forward. I hate it, but it is, what it is.

This whole year is a clusterfrick and anomaly. While it still sucks that we are terrible, it’s the best year for that ever. No crowds, canceled games, Alabama LSU and Florida have the statistical 11,12, and 13th ranked defenses, the whole thing is a mess and a joke.
