Our "CEO" headcoach had to hire someone from the outside to act as the "general manager" of the team. Why a CEO head coach who doesn't run either side of the ball would need someone else to do all of the high level organizational stuff is beyond me, but here we are.

So what does Austin Thomas do? Does anything about this program seem well-run and efficient? Does it feel like a competent executive is running the team? I hear a lot about technology and data metrics and science but I don't see a lot of good football.

Just what the frick is going on?

It still amazes me that we’re in this position.

"Well, that's an excellent question. Let me see if I can unpack it and try to give you the best answer I can. First of all I have to say that I am so excited about this team and our future. We've put in the work and I really think that we'll make the slight adjustments necessary to accomplish the goals we talk about at the beginning of the season. And we are so excited about the opportunity to continue growth both as a team and individually to make this organization one that will make our great fans..."

"Austin that wasn't the question..."

He’s mainly in charge of roster management, transfer portal, recruiting, coordinating the move to Houston. Stuff like that.

2019 was glorious.

2020 to now is a total clown show with the LSU Athletic Department turning into a leftist political entity cowering to the demand of every looney tune on the planet.

Being a HC of a major football program is a huge job. I would assume he's helping manage the day to day running of the program. We only see Coach O when he's in front of the game or coaching on Saturday, but that job is extremely stressful with long hours and that's not even counting dealing with the media, boosters and recruiting. It's easy to criticize a coach when we've never walked in their shoes!

That’s the problem, we’ve all had a taste of perfection, winning Championships, and demand that type of a program……Attention to detail, players knowing their assignments, backups ready to contribute, being 4th quarter( in shape)…..ugh!
