What does that tell you about the starting talent and the incoming talent..

WR exodus
by wesman21

Ask yourself, did the three WR's that transferred make a big impact in the last two seasons? Did they get the majority of playing time?

Hate to say this, but Quinn's drops MAY have contributed to the 2014 Bama loss. Although, it wasn't all his fault. He did not know he even had vision problems till after the fact. That said, if he stayed I would still root for him....

Your name is perfect because you are definitely fishing.

To tell the truth, while a major part of the WRs leaving, is that they want to move on from LSU because they aren't getting enough playing time and other personal reasons, another part is because they see who is coming up behind them and who is already leading them now.

I mean let's just face facts, Dupre, Dural, and Johnson are the top 3 guys right now and that greatly limits these other guys who will be in their third and fourth years. Then you have 6'2 burner DJ Chark who is definitely going to finally get some play time, Derrick Dillon who is dangerously skilled physically but needed a year to build muscle and learn the position, Jazz Ferguson is a 6'5 200+ WR who will likely do what they do but provide a height advantage, and then an almost starting lineup of basketball team size freshman WRs and one that has freak talent like Julio Jones.

When a guy keeps getting passed up by the younger crowd, some see the writing on the wall. Rivers left after being passed up by Jennings and then Harris in consecutive years, and Rettig left after not beating out Jennings and being passed up by Harris. Ware and Ford declared for the draft after being passed up by Jeremy Hill.

I think Tony Ball "leaving" had to do with his lack of recruiting, lack of improving the WRs, and mostly because Craig provides us just a whole lot more and it was the perfect opportunity.

Aside from Dupre and Dural, none of the other receivers are proven commodities.

And this will continue to be the case until they depart, because we have consistently shown that we will almost exclusively target only two receivers.

Posi-Tigers believe it is because they are not good enough for Les Miles prolific passing attack.

Realist believe they are getting passed on the depth chart AND our QB so far has been "inaccurate" plus they're sick of running only 3 routes 19 times a game and trying to block the rest of the plays against corners, safeties and linebackers who know that we're running the ball.....

Oh wait, that would be our starting receivers.

Wow, huge lack of common sense around here. Lack of playing time on the players part and an upgrade at the coaching position

Processing going on in Tiger Town.

But to them for being Tigers.

They got to do something most of us could only ever dream of - running out of that tunnel on a Saturday night in Death Valley to the cheers of tens of thousands of drunken screaming LSU fans. Heck, one of them even got to crowd surf on the arms of these fans.

Best of luck to all of them.

1 WR didn't play a snap that I'm aware of.
The other two were talented sophomores but were passed up by other talented players.
TQ and Diarse were both sophomores and they combined for 220 yards and 0 touchdowns.
Tyron Johnson had 150 yards and 2 touchdowns as a freshman.
We have 3 incoming 4 star WRs that are 6'4'' or taller.
We're so stacked at that position and they (fairly) want an opportunity to showcase what they can do. I think they'll both be successful.

I'm not sure Ball was "lost" but either way, Craig is an upgrade.
