1) I wish LSU played Tulane every year in football
2) I wish Tulane was more competitive in football. They are arguably the worst Div.I program in the last 40 years. I dont see how them being more competitive in football would "hurt" LSU.

Play them in baseball and basketball, but not in football. We tried the home and home deal with them recently and LSU won all the games but apparently it wasn't working out financially for the Tigers and the series was stopped.

Why should LSU have anything to do with Tulane. There is no upside for LSU to ever schedule the Weenies. Ever.

Would you rather eat a delicious piece of pizza, or have somebody hit you in the back with a hammer?

never play them again, esp if the SEC goes to 9 conference games

2 bowl wins in 40+ years makes this an accurate claim.

You do realize there are teams with 0 bowl wins ever, right? N doubt Tulane is bad, but they are not in the argument for worst program, probably not even for the worst 10

Fun fact: Tulane has more SEC championships than 50% of the teams currently in the SEC. And they have 3x as many as 6 of them combined.
Playing Tulane was beneficial when we sucked in the late 80s and early 90s because they hated us (and we hated them) and they sucked bad enough for us to beat them. It was a fun game back then and gave the fans something to be happy about going into the off season.

Exactly. No one is suggesting Tulane replace Bama or Florida, guys.
We're suggesting that instead of playing an FCS team, we play Tulane. Yes, please.

I'd love to play Tulane instead of *insert FCS school here* every now and then. But there's no way in he11 that I'd want Tulane to be the Auburn of Louisiana. LSU doesn't benefit at all from Tulane being good in football and we benefit so much from dominating the state

As much as I hate Toolame, I must say this is not true. The Green Weenies had very short-lived success w/ Tommy Bowden (7-4 & 11-0). They've played in bowls several times. They did beat Old Myth & MS St. occasionally when playing them every season until the late 80s.
If they were nearly as smart as they claim, they never would have left the SEC. They would've still struggled to win as much as they did as an independent. However, they could've financially set as another perennial loser, Vandy, is. They certainly would've have at least 30K at homes games for SEC games, even if that meant the opponent had the majority in the stands. Their regular scheduling of teams from the East Coast (Navy, Rutgers, etc.) as an independent led to plenty of empty seats in the Dome for decades.
