This team has a better chance to win a 3-game series than a 4-team regional where they are not the best team.

We just don't have the pitching to lose, for example, game 2 in a regional, then have to win 3-straight. We could reasonably pull out a series win, though.

People like to laugh about game 2 of the Arkansas series, but that game was 3-3 heading into the 7th inning, and they fell apart in the 8th. Incidentally, that's the inning that Vietmeier got hurt.

They are going to pair us with UCLA so we can prop up their SR attendance again.

I remember that ( it’s hazy) why was he rooting for them. Also, what happened to the guy who was ( from the rants vote) replacing him?

And LSU can't hit worth a shite vs good pitching. This would be another meltdown on here.

Host a regional. How many years has the #1 seed of the regional paired with LSU actually made it to the Supers? If LSU hosts the regional, then there's a greater that 50% chance of hosting the Supers.

Has LSU ever hosted a Super after being the 2 seed?

Found The Boat's old post from 2015 LINK:

quote:

2003 Baylor advances out of Southern Miss' regional.
2004 Texas A&M advances out of Rice's regional.
2005 LSU loses to Rice.. Don't even care. Tulane wins Tulane regional.
2008 UC-Irvine advances out of Nebraska's regional.
2009 Rice wins Rice's regional. Congrats.
2012 Stony Brook advances out of Miami's regional.
2013 Oklahoma advances out of Virginia Tech's regional.
2014 Texas advances out of Rice's regional.
2015 Houston loses Houston regional.

7 out of the last 9 times LSU's hosted a regional a team other than the host has advanced to the super regionals. So don't be too concerned about who LSU is matched against. Look at the 2 seed.
