I know it's too late and it takes technique to play NT. Just a hypothetical though since we are on the subject (I am not saying this is what we should do btw)
Safeties: Martin loston
CBs: Mills white
LBs: Beckwith Kwon barrow hunter
DL: Freak. Fehoko. Ego

While we are at it could we look at bringing back the infamous swiss cheese defense of Lou Tepper.

We could not cover the WR in a prevent style zone 4-2-5 looking scheme. Their TD catches were WIDE OPEN. How in the hell will our non existing DL/LB stop OL from plowing through them, then the RB come wizzing by???
Why not sell out to at least stop the run, add a 5th lineman or put Kendall Beckwith as a 5th lineman, Melvin Jones at Middle LB, with Barrow and Kwon on each outside, or beef up the second line with 4 LB? One can cover the third WR. CB locked on a WR, then one safety. I know people will bash this scenario, however our current scheme left people wide open so at least stop the run and play man on the WR.

I was thinking the opposite. LBs too small to stop run. Squeeze an extra DE on the field somehow to get some beef. We have gone too small too fast.
Possible hijack -- Would Melvin Jones be the biggest LB on the field f us right now? Wonder if we regret the mive to redshirt fullback...

Fanika should be moved to the DL regardless! he is huge, 6-6 360 ,and at the very least would clog the middle and stop the
Gnashing runs.
If we stay in the 4-3 let him play strong side tackle. What a difference he would make!

TBH. We fit a 4-2-5 nickel more than the 3-4. 2 strong DTs to clog the middle. Athletic rangy ends. Loston would play close the line at Dog postion. Deion Jones is fast and physical enough to play the other Dog safety. Kwon and Barrow would be the 2 LBs who are usually undersized in the 4-2-5 scheme like denzel nkemdiche. Corners could be anybody. And FS safety has to have speed and be a ballhawk. We would wreck in this scheme, but its never going to happen. But hey I can dream can't I?

I would like to see some of the Frosh on the line though, our ends need to get off blocks more, actually the whole front seven needs to be more aggressive and more elusive with the blockers! Not go head up but around them and push the play inside but be ready to take them down once pushed inside. Idk if they over coached in this one or what but they were confused as hell and could not attack the gaps. Need more alertness from that secondary too.
