What about Bama losing to A&M. Then winning the SEC. Then Bama vs LSU rematch for the Sugar Bowl.

Florida HAS TO LOSE to FSU for any discussion of LSU in the BCS to mean anything

I wouldn't mind the Fiesta, just don't want the Sugar or Orange. Really hoping we meet Nebraska in the Rose.

The SEC does NOT have to take an SEC school if they lose the SEC Champ, which they would with Alabama being #1.

This. Look at last year. LSU is a conservative pick if you're the Sugar Bowl--you fill seats but not necessarily hotel rooms and everything else. ND would make more money if the choice was between the two.

Absolutely. This whole thread is assuming UF loses to FSU, and Bama beats Georgia in SECCG.

Also, A&M has to lose to Bama. If A&M beats Bama, but Bama goes to Atlanta and beats Georgia, I think A&M would be very attractive to the Fiesta Bowl and the Sugar Bowl as an at large.

Either of those bowls would very much consider A&M over LSU. WOuld be interesting.

That said, I would gladly take a Cotton Bowl or Cap 1 bid if it meant A&M beat Bama on Saturday

The Sugar Bowl could not take an SEC last year since 2 SEC teams were in the BCS CG. But no, they don't have to take an SEC team to replace Bama.

Agreed. The Rose Bowl is so committed to keeping their "traditional rivals" together. I would assume the highest ranked PAC12 team would be Oregon St playing Nebraska though.

The Rose Bowl can only take an eligible Pac 12 team to replace Oregon if the Ducks are in the BCS CG. They have to be in the top 14 or 16 i forget, to be eligible. If OSU loses to Oregon and 1 other game they will not be in the top 14/16

in a heartbeat. their mission is and always has been to fill new orleans hotels and restraunts. they would not be doing their job if they don't.

Oh, and I don't know about the Sugar, but I know the Cotton Bowl would take ND over LSU.

Not only was he clearly wrong, as anyone who watched last years' Sugar Bowl would know, but he was a complete a-hole about it
