Ihave always been on Les side but did lose a little respect for him when he did not put lee in the game sooner. Everyone is human and make mistakes.I still thank Les is a good person and coach.

So JL is being treated fairly and does not deserve the starting position?

and what exactly was that? hard work and dedication gets you benched?

What are you insinuating here? You actually think all players that are hard workers and dedicated should start?

My father-in-law is a football coach at a high school here in MS and his opinion is that JL is getting screwed over and he would never recommend one of his players go to play for Les Miles after what he has seen JL go through. T

Tell FILaw to tell them to go to Ole Miss. They will get a LOT of playing time over there...!!!

What is fair? Dennis Johnson, DJ Howard, Trent Hebert, .... Should they start? They too are seniors, have been dedicated, worked hard, and are good people, etc. I don't see you complaining about their playing time. Is it not "fair" that they don't start?

The fact is, these people do not start because they do not give LSU the best chance to win. The same is the case with JL. I'm sorry if that doesn't seem "fair" to you.

Honest question to you, tigernutz and everyone else who's bothered by Les' decision. Is it your opinion that Les should start Lee "just to be fair" if he truly believes Jefferson is the better QB for the team? In other words, Lee's hard work and dedication outweighs the fact that he may not be, in the coaches' (plural) opinion, the best player for the job?

Don't hold your breath waiting for a valid response. These people don't like facts getting in the way of their emotion filled argument. The best they have is "this is not fair"

The opinion of a lot of folks here is that you and your ilk are racist.

I know you can fool the townsfolk over there - but we understand what word you're really using when you say "Thug".

Don't get all pissy because a black dude's playing QB. He has had two great games, and while I feel for JLee and DEFINITELY want him to get his due, if you miss class and a team meeting after you had the worst performance of the season then you're putting yourself in a hole that's hard to climb out of.

Only read your post. You sir are a fricking idiot and frankly I suspect you are a racist a-hole.

JJ was supposed to be the starter, he fricked up and paid the price. JL throws back to back picks in "the game of the century". He got benched and JJ has played great since, i.e. he has not given Miles a reason to bench him.

Stop being a pussy (or racist) and enjoy the wins. Otherwise, just STFU and find a new team. I'm really sick of this shite (whether it is a racist issue or not).

Football isn't about being treated fairly, besides 8 and 9 year old football leagues. You'd rather a QB that gets panicky in the pocket under pressure and throws picks, rather than a quarterback that takes a sack? I was very happy to see Lee do well this year, but the Bama game showed us what happens when you put him up against a legit defense. Jefferson makes plays that Lee cant. Thank god we have a coach that doesn't get so emotionally caught up in everything like some of you women. It's football, it's not meant to be fair, and we have a damn good team and coach.

While the race card may be played too often in all sorts of situations, anyone who doesn't think race is an issue in the QB controversy (even if it's subconscious) is pretty naive.

no, I understand how that sounded and no that is not the case because everyone has to be dedicated and work hard to be able to play at that level, what I should have said is that his hard work and dedication and the fact that he led the team to an 8-0 start and looked good doing so with the exception of 2 fricking passes should be the reason that he should start, if he fricks up take him out the same way that they did against Bama.

Why? this went from one person's opinion to people calling him a racist? I am defending said person because I know for a fact that he is not a racist.

This is an outsider view of what is being said about the way Les Miles is treating his QB that took the team to 8-0 with one of the toughest schedules in the NCAA and then gets benched after 1 bad quarter. The opinion of a lot of folks here in MS is that Miles has rewarded the Thug and mistreated the guy who does right?

You said a couplt of key things in that quote above...
1) Outsiders view.... we are all outsiders, and we dont really know the private interworkings of the team or whats going on with JL, your father in law being a HS coach should know that, the rumor is JL has had some class room problems..
2) Being mistreated... again, thats a mouthful to say when you dont have all the info. While I agree JL deserves to play, I totally trust CLM ability to lead this team..

Ok, you got me there and some people actaully have to work for a living and are busy. I will now talk about facts. JL 8-0 as a starter, looked great in all 8 starts, he fricks up and throws 2 picks against the best defens LSU will see all season, JJ comes in and does enough to win the game and without him we lose that game. Ok this past week JJ loses 40 yards and throws a pick by not getting rid of the ball, why not put in JL at that point?

I am a big lee guy and think the team plays just as well for both qb's and w lee you have a better passing game but with Jefferson u have a dual threat.

That said NOBODY has discussed Lee's supposed academic issues?? That's the reason he ain't playing
