Before Miles was hired at Oklahoma State they had 1 winning season since 1988.
yeah i said he did a good job, but kiffin didn't have all shitty seasons as a HC, either

Of course Miles didn't have Gundy like success because he took over a crap program.

Since 2009, LSU has never ranked higher than 99th in passing attempts per game. Damn.
2013 Mett was top 6 in the sec in pass attempts.
2011 jj/Jlee combo was in the top 5 in the sec in pass attempts
Miles has proven that he will throw the ball if he trusts his qbs.
I'm like you though. I don't need huge passing numbers. Just give me an efficient passing attack that can keep the defense honest.

to answer the OP, hell no
however, I love kiffin's ability to gameplan and call offensive games. he gives his qb's safe, easy throws to get them into a rhythm and then graduates into much more aggression in the passing game as it progresses.

He went 5-15 with the Raiders and was fired "for cause."
He went 7-6 with the Vols, accused Meyer of NCAA violations, whereby he committed an NCAA violation, made the gas comment to Alshon Jeffrey, and had Vol students rioting in the street when he left.
He went 28-15 at freakin' USC (scholarship sanctions or no) and became the first head coach since 1964 to take the preseason #1 team to unranked at the season's end. He was 4-7 in his last 11 games before being fired... then Coach O compiled a 6-2 record as interim coach.
And in addition to his failures as a HC, Alabama's offense has declined in production each year that he has been the OC.
This guy needs to stay far, far away from Baton Rouge unless he's coming in as a visiting coach. Maybe we can get lucky and he'll be named HCIW for Alabama.

Not sure where you're getting this from.
Mettenberger was 7th in the SEC in attempts, and 79th in the country.
Jefferson/Lee were literally dead last in the SEC in attempts in 2011.

I believe the OP's intent was to mentioned Lane because we all know our offense is not balanced or creative, and Lane has reved up Bama's offense. That being said he has proven himself a top 5 OC but it would be too much of a gamble to hire him as a head coach.

Alabama's Scoring Offense
2013 - 38.2

2015 - 35.1
Alabama's Yards Per Play
2013 - 7.15
2014 - 6.66
2015 - 5.89
Alabama's Total Offense
2013 - 454.1
2014 - 484.5
2015 - 427.1

To say Lane Kiffin is a bad coach after his record at USC is retarded.
To say Lane Kiffin has Les Miles class is fuggin retarded as well.
We can and will do better if that time ever does come.

Not if you combine their attempts.

Only if Tommy Tubberville declines the offer.

Really? Not even close?
Yes, not even close. Lane has a successful rebound demotion, under the GOAT head coach and a semi successful run under another top 10 GOAT, mired in cheat.
As a head coach he was fired twice and ran away from another in the middle of the night. A three programs were decimated by his tenure.
So, no he isn't in the same stratosphere as Les Miles and it's embarrassing if you think he is...
