He was elevated to HC too soon. I'll bet he learned a ton from those failures. I also think that he got himself into the best mentor relationship with Saban. The thing that was missing from Kiffen was self-discipline and managing a process. He's getting that training now!
His actions in leaving Tennessee make me worry that he has a character flaw. There is no fixing that. So I would consider him, but I'd need a lot of evidence that he's not a shithead.
