Maybe it was debateable, but maybe not, they have both stunk it up most of the time up until this point. It is like asking if you would rather Beagle shite or Lab shite on your shoe.

Hey, who are you to call anybody an idiot? Just don't shoot the messenger, or the one seeing truth in what the original messenger was saying. It's pretty plain JJ wasn't burning up the stats as QB, not by LSU or SEC standards. IMO, LSU victories in his era were more the result of team talent, effort, and CLM's luck than JJ's skill at being field general. That being said, I'm pretty sure JL stunk things up on his own quite a bit - sure did his Freshman season when he was thrown to the wolves (and irate Tiger fans). Your analogy to beagle or lab droppings is pretty graphic; but you said it, not me. All I know is I am hoping JL has matured and can rise to this occasion and be LSU's QB all season without reverting to past patterns (which we all dread is possible). I prefer to believe he's going to be all right, but we'll see something of that hope tomorrow night, for good or for bad. He's the starter for now. But secret weapon or stealth QB, ZM is still out there, waiting on the bench...
