Does anyone really think it made any difference? It wasn't like ULLs Friday starter was getting shelled for 8 ERs or anything. Thanks to the 3B LSU was held in check. Saturday the same thing occurred just the CF held LSU for most of the game. Unless someone comes out and pitches a complete game shutout nothing would have changed. LSU still help ULL the entire game as well.

It didn't make much difference.
I only started the thread because the ULL fans were spouting off after game 1 like "We got em right where we want em." All I could think was, "Dude, you're facing elimination." It's the irrationality.
Personally, I have great respect for the ULL baseball program. Robicheaux is a class guy. They generally play well in big situations. The fact that they get to the regional and super regional level pretty regularly says a lot. Their baseball program is ahead of most SEC programs.

We don't know. All we do know is that they gave up runs early in that game. Based on what Leger did on Sunday, he would not have gotten down three early. They had a chance in game one, but getting down early obviously cost them that game.

ULL's earliest run all weekend was in the 6th inning of game 1, about the time LSU figured out Leger. It would have been 1-0 ULL in the 6th but 5-2 LSU in the 8th.
