that's an epidemic in college basketball .. period .. fundamentals are going by the wayside .. players can't make lay ups, don't use the glass anymore and just can't shoot in general the way they used to ... your typical games are in the 50s and 60s with shot clocks and a fricking three point shot today .. in the 1970s and 1980s .. games were in the 70s and 80s without a three point shot or a shot clock at all ... virtually everyone on the floor could make a lay up or shot .. especially when wide open with a clean look at the basket ..

Everyone is worried about making the highlight reel.

I kinda disagree with the post about ladies not being capable of making layups.

I've been watching women's hoops for over 30 years and can remember cringing with every fast break because I knew someone would blow a layup. That rarely happens now with quality teams, especially when uncontested.

While I hope it is and admitting to not following the womens game all that close, a Top 5 salary for a coach of 3 years who never got past the 2nd rd, I think I read, is a tad of a gamble and up for questioning in my book.

Having said that, she has been successful in her basketball life and here's hoping that success explodes at LSU.

I don't think she'll leave LSU to be Pat's assistant again. And don't think that Pat is going to retire in five years while she's still in her late fifties. Besides, Holly Warlick is more than likely first in line for that job when Pat leaves.

Hey! Even if she does, we savor the time we have her as long as the program is headed in the right direction. Afterall, everything is ultimately temporary.

I don't know why some seem concerned over her leaving when she is yet to coach her 1st freaking game at LSU.

I know we like to start our complaining early, but geezzzzzzzzz.....

And anyway, if the Vols come a calling, will that not speak to her success achieved at LSU?

It is hard to watch when they can't even make layups.

I jokingly asked a friend of mine at work what the results of the women's final four was when he arrived at work last night at midnight. He said, "I they were playing outside of my kitchen window....I'd pull the shades down."

OUCH!!!
