Yeah, when Jay Johnson was hoisting the National Championship trophy, I was thinking “thank god for LSU women sports”.

When Jayden was accepting the 3rd Heisman in our school’s history, I was thinking “thank God for Angel Reese”.

When, for the first time in history of the sport, #1 and #2 overall MLB picks were both from the same school, LSU, I was thinking “if it weren’t for our women sports would people know LSU exists?”

So true.

When it comes down to it, I pretty much only care about football.

Just my opinion but I think this football team is going to be a 3 or 4 loss team mainly because of defense again. They looked really bad in the spring game with the same problems as last year. I think offense will be solid but I don't think it will be anywhere near last year's level. That combined with a brutal schedule has a very high probability of them missing playoffs this year. Only positive unexpected on the schedule I see is Bama is vulnerable now moving forward.

look, I'm happy that women's sports at LSU are doing well, but normal fans, both here and around the country, don't give a hoot.

Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, ever talks about women's sports in my office or among my friends.

Sorry, but that's just reality.

Some of you guys are total idiots! All you guys bashing the women are just stupid. Would you rather all of our sports teams suck together? My point was that it's nice to see the women doing well because most of the men teams are struggling.

And yes, my friends and I often talked about the women's team and the tournament because LSU basketball is at its highest point ever. And everyone of my buddies knows who Livvy Dunne is, even if she doesn't compete in every meet. She is a proud LSU athlete and she promotes it everywhere she goes.

Some of you guys are just immature and get off going on these teenage rants that make you look totally ignorant. Grow up and act like a real man.

My point is I support all LSU sports and I'm just happy the women programs are doing well because most of the men programs are struggling at this point.

agreed, but it’s not because of LSU gymnastics.

Ah, not caring about women’s sports is now bashing women.

You are what is wrong with the world. You take someone’s opinion and turn it into a hate crime.

This is rich coming from you.

If I don’t like basketball and can’t name a single MBB player, who am I bashing.

As I read this I am assuming you are a woman. A “real man” can accept differing opinions, likes and dislikes.

That doesn't make you a man. I have three degrees and carried a 4.0 gpa, but that doesn't make me a man. For those of you who get your jollies degrading LSU women's sports, at the school you support, is childish and immature.

Despite how many of you feel about LSU women's sports, I was elated to read that Haleigh Bryant won the 2024 AAI Award, crowning her as the nation’s top senior gymnast in the country. This award is equal to winning the Heisman Trophy. I was also happy to read that the women's track team moved up to the No. 1 spot in the most recent U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association national rankings for the 2024 outdoor season on Tuesday. I was also happy to read that the men came in at No. 4!

Of course, for those of you who love to bash LSU women's sports, go ahead and begin your childish ranting, so you can pound on your chest and feel good about yourself!

once again, I'm not "degrading" women's sports, unless you think my comment that most people don't care about women's sports is "degrading." I simply think it's a fact, and it's not "degrading" women's sports to point it out.

Outside of a very few isolated women's events, people nationwide don't watch women's sports. They just don't.

It's not "degrading" to acknowledge that.

All that being said, I hope every LSU women's team (and men's too) is hugely successful. I'm not hoping we flop - I'm just saying relatively few sports fan's pay attention.
