The typical reaction of Louisiana right wingers to pretty much everything is to throw an irrational fit and then call for the bankrupting or defunding of the university. We see it clearly right here in this thread. Right wing hysteria, at least around here, associates education with libruls with evil.
Meanwhile (and this was correctly pointed out earlier) other Republican run southern states still support their universities and guess what? Things are better there. So it really is put up or shut up, and stop fighting against university operations.

I'm an LSU fan, through and through. But I swear, this thread shows why Louisiana is such a screwed up state, the state I left 40 years ago. This thread shows that for every free thinker, Louisiana turns out a hundred stupid, angry right-wingers who have no idea what they're talking about. Whatever good comes out of Louisiana is despite the prevalence of people who would by a huge margin upvote the suggestion that the university should be carpet-bombed because of "wokeness." Y'all are truly pathetic.

UA typically offered 2-3x’s the amount LSU offered the same person. Obviously out of state tuition plays a part but the kid still pocketed more money after tuition with UAs offer over LSU’s. It was pretty sad

The woke movement is a national embarrassment and is not intended to accomplish anything positive. LSU is not immune to this unrelenting and destructive mindset.
