Yes, I actually gained a lot of respect for Tennessee for doing what needed to be done. Every team needs to do something like they did just to establish their position.

The issue is that NIL was not intended for universities to create "NIL collectives" to deal out to athletes in massive amounts of money.
This was intended for athletes to be able to sign autographs, sell shite, get paid for jersey sales or for being in a video game. Get paid to appear in a commercial to help advertise a local business, etc. All things you do in spare time to earn money once you get to campus.
Instead they have created basically NFL Free Agency except its all 1 year deals.
Even if I had millions of dollars to spend, I would not contribute a single cent. You are not part of the team. You are not acknowledged like professional sports owners for putting a team together. You are simply being played by high school athletes to see who will give them the most money

I don't even know the roster until halfway through the season, and even then I don't care because I know half will transfer before next season. My emotional attachment to the game is gone. What made college football great is gone. It's just a different version of pro football, and even worse with the immediate-play transfer.
This is why I gravitated towards primarily being invested in the MLB. It used to be fun to see guys develop. Wait their turn and make a name for themselves. Now half your freshman class gone after year 1.
At least with the MLB it still exists. And the changes they are making are improving the game with the pitching clock and banning the ridiculous shifts

Shut your mouth about MBB, McMoreNIL got Portland’s sharpshooter, Omaha’s best player, Northeastern’s best player, Miss St’s 4th option, and a Top 10 PG from UNLV. If that don’t inject excitement and confidence in you that we’ll shoot right up into the higher tier of the SEC then I don’t what to tell you.

The fact that Tenner told him no gives me the slightest amount of hope

You say all this but will still have the TV tuned in for every single kickoff of all 12 games next year.
