I was already a little concerned with the OL before all this recent attrition tbh.

I don't know what to predict in W/L, but I'll go ahead and predict this issue will be used as an excuse for O if they fail to win the 10+ expected of Les when he was here.

I don't recall the expectations ever being lowered for Les regardless of attrition , injuries , draft, qb, etc...

Odd to see this kinda thought process so prevalent now amongst the LSU fans ....gettin those ducks in a row these days it seems ...hahahha

I think with being hammered by Les year in and year out, being realistic has to be part of us now. We have been mentally abused for too long, now it's gonna take actually seeing us win those games to convince us. You can't just tell me hey we are gonna do this or that because it looks good on paper, we did that for 14 years under Miles, I love O and the rest of the coaching staff, and most of all the players, but I want to see it happen before I crown anything, especially with a 2 deep inexperienced O Line

I'll put it to you this way. If LSUs line can hold up in Cam's offense and if Pitts OL can whip up on Clemson the way they did, shoot everyone they played for that matter then LSUs line can make it through a season with the depth we have.

Pitts problem with mediocre OL wasn't their offense, it was their defense holding their opponents to below what their offense could score. Do you think LSU will have that problem? I don't think they will and yes the SEC overall is better/faster on defense then the ACC but not by that much. You can also say that LSU has the talent to overcome that talent difference as well. Of course it's an issue but not as big as people want to make it out to be.

This also opens up spots on the OL to fill with the 1st round talent that O has been talking about filling the OL with. Again once the offense shows what it can do I think LSU will have a huge recruiting tool to work with. Until then all they can do is build relationships. Nothing has really changed IMO. The offense will need to look like it's making progress and if that happens we will be fine. If the offense takes off it will be more then fine. If the offense doesn't perform well, it wouldn't have anyway and LSU will have to do a JOB in recruiting to change that. Period

Teuhema was inconsistent but he will be missed. I hate he's gone but I don't think his transfer will make a difference in wins and loses.

Staying with my original guess 9 - 3. Just because we have arguably the toughest schedule in the nation with 5 SEC road games.

8-4 likely 9-3 with some breaks.

And only 1 of those guys was going to play this next season. Allen in mop up duty against blowouts maybe. Nothing will change unless we have significant injuries. I see this group with about 7 guys who can play this season. The remaining 4. Cush. Campbell and deculus. Maybe McGee also. Experience takes a hit but teuheuma was inconsistent and th star light hadn't turned on for him yet. Now the key is can Cush or Campbell take advantage of the situation if neither can't or we have a couple injuries than we have issues The one injury I would worry about would be to Malone. A good offensive line is fairly consistent on personnel. Their is much less subbing at this position. A starting 5 if healthy for many teams will not sub at all until game over.

Nobody is getting fricking ducks in a row. Les left us with an overall bad ol situation...that's a fact. I still think Lsu wins, but MORE ol injuries could be very detrimental to the success of this club. There are plenty of anti O fans in this thread that see it for what it is. Get list loser.

Not sure what you are trying to say here baw? 9 wins with a new system and coaches will be IMO a good start for O.

It depends on if there are injuries, who knows maybe we get some surprising underclassmen that step up in a big way. I'll remain positive until I can't anymore lol

Record prediction doesn't change, (9-3) but Grimes doesn't make it through the entire season.

There's not much difference between the starters and the back-ups, mostly McNeese-ULM-SWLAJC@L-SELU level OL talent on this team.

Maybe they should RS MB, because he'd get killed behind that OL. Let one of the DT's play behind Etling, (He gonna get grilled too) because they can run fast and that's exactly what they're gonna be doing behind this joke of an OL.

Like I mentioned a few weeks ago, yall think it's bad now, what happens if Clapp goes down again. Spooky and Scary thought.

Prepare yourself KM.............

I have Florida as a win. I think we have more talent.

Auburn is the crunch game. We play them at home and need to shine.

11-1 is possible.

I will say this though, if LSU can't land some big time OLman at least 2 more maybe 3 more big names this cycle and at least 5 more next then we will see issues in the future. We have to recruit sure things from here on out. Guys that are pumped about being here. Smart OLman that are dogs and want to push this OL to be championship material. We need leaders on this OL. Guys who are confident in their abilities on and off the field. 1st round talents. LSU needs to change this trajectory on the OL.

We've done it everywhere else and now it's time to focus our efforts there. When Aranda or better yet when O got here we were dangerously thin in the front seven. What happened? We've turned that around to be a strength. Keep that going and then focus our efforts on the OL now. From what I've seen I have no doubts that they can get this accomplished as a staff. GT
