O's history as HC

Ole Miss: fired
USC: not retained

The guy who didn't retain him at USC is no longer the AD at USC.

Lane has been fired from multiple jobs including Alabama as OC.

Eaux has been fired from one job - Ole Miss.

Does that even matter? He has been hired twice to be a head coach in the SEC.

Let's see should I worry about not being a DC or should I concern myself with being the head coach at LSU? Hmmmm

which is his only non-positional coach job pre-2017

it's much easier to avoid termination when you set your sights low as a positional coach and just follow Lane Kiffin around

And who knows everybody may be wrong and Canada stays. Now if true what they said about the Baldwin recruitment then Canada needs to go but we will probably never know. Now any head coach should have some input on the offense I mean ultimately your head is the one on the chopping block but if you don’t like his offense, which surely you watched before hiring him, why hire him in the first place. Once you get him in you should be able to say I would like to do this a little more and have some input but ultimately you need to let him coach. And I like coach O and would love to see him succeed but this isn’t a good look for your first big hire and both men need to swallow some pride or just come out and make it very public.

Orgeron will. Be given 2 more years to blame others and run the program into the bottom of the ditch. Sit back and Enjoy

And not even be fired with the guy he is following around.

And then hire the guy last year as OC if he didn't get the FAU HC gig.

Just like he may hire Tom Herman in a couple of years as the OC if the new or current OC gets a head coaching job.

Well he is 9-3 with a chance to go 10-3 and finish in the top 10. Why would anyone be crying about him not being a DC?

With the D and O lines he is about to trot out on the field you will probably be very disappointed. Don't watch because you will not enjoy.

Don't get your hopes up. LSU's current administration is a clown show. O just needs to start tweeting. Can't just focus on football at LSU. Need drama.

Yeah but coach O is a home town boy. No matter how bad it may get, people are still gonna make excuses for him. People are still gonna blame Les Miles. We could fast forward 10 years from now and the “state of the LSU” program will still be blamed on Les Miles, Not Special Ed who looks like the guy from sling blade

He really needs excuses. I mean in his first year as HC at LSU he has a good chance to finish in the top 10.

In two recruiting classes he has a very good chance of finishing in the top 10 twice.

If anyone needs excuses it's him. This is horrible. First top 10 finish since 2012 if it happens just can't be excused away.

The D-line and O-lines great players and depth he is building is totally horrible.

the O-line coach he just hired that has had the lowest amount of sacks given up while coaching in college and the pros is another bad call on his part. The decline is real.

If you're not miserable you should be. Ha ha Ha Ha !!!!

Like I said I like coach O but this Canada thing is very bad and Larry Coker won a national championship but don’t think anyone thinks him taking over Miami was good for the program

in 2005 Les finished top 5
in 2006 Les finished top 10
in 2007 Les finished #1

and you're trying to sell possibly finishing top 10 in 2/4 seasons as O's selling point?

both O and Les were left loaded rosters. Les did a lot more with it than O. O is an inferior coach to Les. O replaced Les and is doing less with the talent than Les did. and your sales pitch of the best case scenario isn't even that good. you're actually showing why O is a bad hire in your attempt to defend him

You mean like hiring the only offensive coach Broyles award finalist was a great decision?

10 win season this year with numerous trash teams sec including Tennessee, Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Florida. Had severe depth issues on the O/D line, yet he is a great recruiter and a D line coach. Got embarrassed at Miss State, humiliation against Troy, and yet again cannot beat Alabama, but like I said earlier, blame Les Miles
