Wasn't there a heavily recruited Etienne out of the New Iberia area back in the 80s? I think he went oos.

Name was Leroy Etienne from New Iberia, and he had a great career at Nebraska.

Jones qualified academically under NCAA standards but did not meet Wisconsin's high academic targets.

Not gonna lie. As a fan of LSU and the SEC, that stings a bit.

didn't TCU lose like a dozen starters last summer? they still gave a pretty good account of themselves.

I think the the North Carolina and Clemson games in the past were the same, they both had a bunch of starters out.

Well the two WRs were both incoming freshmen. Guess they didn't make their grades. This kind of stuff happens.

The Watkins story is pretty bizarre. It wasn't academics for him. He was already enrolled. He literally just left Madison and cut off all communication with the coaches.

Can't say anything about Jones, but both were pretty highly touted. Pretty shitty that they both left. Wisconsin needs help at WR.

Starting WRs should be Doe and Peavy, with Sanders contributing off the bench (even as early as LSU).

Jordan Fredrick will be a starting WR. He started alongside Jared Abbrederis last season.

Well now the negatigers can say we weren't truly tested because they didn't have their best players. That is of course if we blow Wisconsin out of the water.

Seems like he just wasn't ready to be away from home . I felt that way at his age, but I pushed myself to stick to it when I was ready to go back home and looking back am very thankful I did that. I hope he doesn't regret this in the future, but I don't see how he will not.
