Oregon had a shitty QB situation? Sounds like you're well informed.
What do they have beyond Mariota? You recruit a guy to come in who is in the same eligibility class as your Heisman candidate QB, sounds like a move for depth more than ability. Kinda like when LSU brought in Rob Bolden.
I don't anoint a players abilities based completely off their offer list. Plenty of guys have had offers from big time programs, only to wash out without accomplishing anything.
The other schools he had offers to had bad QB situations. Plus, he already lost a QB battle at Wisconsin to a guy who's still on the team. So he wasn't good enough last year, but he might be this year, after playing safety all last season?

We saw outlandish predictions for TCU, Washington, Oregon, North Carolina.... all season openers. The Oregon game was the only one that came close.
It will be a win, but probably 7-10 points.
Washington 3 - LSU 41 says hello. That one was close.

Wrong washington game, champ.

Lsu +4 is a trick line. All the suckers bet Wisconsin because they feel LSU will win by only a field goal, and they have a point to spare. Vegas loves the sucker line. According to this line, LSU has a 70% chance of beating the spread.

Recruited by Oregon, Fla, WVU, and Texas, tells you this kid has immense talent for a QB. Just shows how ignorant some of our fans are, our Tigers Defense had better be ready for anything.
This is all I heard before the Oregon game. LSU couldn't match their speed, we were slow on defense and Oregon would wear us out. Hmmm... didn't happen and Wisconsin will be no different.
We match up well and almost mirror one another, however, we have better athletes all around and are deeper so by mid 3rd quarter and into the 4th LSU puts up an additional 10-14 unanswered points to seal the deal.
Our defense will be ready for anything.

ANYONE that thinks Wisconsin is gonna be a easy game for LSU is a FOOL..............
This will be a tough game for LSU... YES they have more quality depth and overall team speed. BUT they are not very experienced at TWO key spots. QB and WR. Wisky is gonna make LSU pass the ball to beat them. Its pretty simple, Unless The LSU QB comes out and lights it up, this WILL be a real close game. I would NOT be surprised that Wisky beats LSU. Just saying. And I am a HUGE LSU fan.......

It is always difficult to tell early about any teams prospects for the season. How many of you actually think that 57 of the 60 voters think FSU will repeat as NCs. The implication by the AP voters says yes. I'll bet if you knew all of them, they would say privately "yes they have a great chance" but many despite the schedule would simply say they have the best chance at the final four.
This is called respect for the current NC's. Then the usual suspects are included because lately they have been good to great teams.
This is not "rocket science". However, as happens every year, it will prove to be more difficult than "rocket science" because physics and math are scientific to a point.
Funny shaped ball and randomness(injuries, team chemistry, new people stepping up, brilliant gambles, etc turn every season into chaos theory where thank goodness science and math get "fuzzy".
Sorry guys way too much to drink...just saying
