Vanderbilt just lost to them by 3, and Auburn actually should've beaten Florida on their court. Florida is playing like a team that is about to get tagged.

Aversion therapy at its finest! Every time I get hope up for this team making the big dance they lose and then lose......Like being slapped in the face when you get hungry for Popeyes.
That being said I really like the team this year, but no comment on the big dance. If someone throws a drumstick in my lap I will be a happy man though.

No he didn't.

if we hang close with florida on the road, beat Vandibilt on their home court, then come home and stomp Georgia, plus win 2 tourney games, I believe we get in.

It all hinges on how they shoot. If they shoot outside the paint like kentucky did we have a chance. They are a team that tends to get bothered if their shots dont fall and start settling. Perimeter d will have to be on point which is why i think we played more man last night to prepare. Florida would eviscerate our weak arse zone. Also need Johnny to be aggressive early and get in youngs dome.

Why do y'all do this to yourselves? You know as well as anybody else, that this team is not very good on the road. Stop with the nonsense about the big dance. What you need to be doing is figuring out what they need to do to secure a NIT bid.

I gave up on this team after the Bama and Ole Miss losses. UK win gave me a little hope but it was ruined again by UGA. This team isn't making the tourny unless they in the SEC Tournament.

I understand what you're saying, I really do. But its called being a fan, short for fanatic. Every fan has extreme highs and lows, including expectations. What's the point in cheering for this team for 4 months if we can't sit here and hope/pray/beg for a win on Saturday against the #1 team in the country? Is it likely to happen? no... not at all. Will it happen? We will find out Saturday afternoon. Until then, I'm going to enjoy the possibility the LSU can win and has an opportunity to find their way into the tourney..... otherwise, I wouldn't call myself a fan.

You can cheer for a win against UF this Saturday but still need to have the realization that it's going to take more than just that to get into the NCAA Tournament. Yes, that's whats called being a fan.
Mathematically, LSU has a small chance of still making the tournament. LSU has continued to get hopes up and have them shattered on the road. Why would the rest of the season be any different?
2-7 on the road is all the proof I need to know this team isn't going to make a run late in the season. Unless it's a four game run in the SEC tournament and they don't have to face UF (Another unlikely outcome)

Sorry folks I was ALLIN this season even claiming us as a 4-seed at one point. Too many disappointing losses. Rhode Island, Tennessee, Georgia, A&M, Bama. Can't get hyped up anymore.
Eta, yes Georgia is disappointing I don't care if they have 10 sec wins. We had a chance to get on a roll and be a top 3 team where we belong.
while your mindset is probably common among a large portion of the fans.....I believe that you fail to realize that ncaa hoops is a sport of runs, if we get hot down this end stretch anything could happen, yes we've had some bad losses but in college basketball the door is always at least a little bit open
and the fact that you say its disappointing to lose to a team with 10 conference wins, thats silly, they have talent especially at the SG position and if you don't want to recognize that I don't know what to say

if we beat UF and win out it won't take much more, i understand all you guys frustrations, but the reality is that the door isn't shut yet

Do you even NCAA Tourney Selection Committee, bro?

Yeah I understand everyone has a chance with conference tournaments. But, 2-7. Those odds are not likely to change. Show me proof that they will then.

You missed my point (which was somewhat made in jest). You can't really suggest they are mathematically out when the tourney selection committee doesn't use an exact mathematical formula to pick teams. I agree that 2-7 isn't a good trend but they have showed that IF and a big IF JOB doesn't get into early foul trouble they can hang in away games. I don't think it is likely they win Saturday but if they win out in the regular season LSU is in. I base this off of Lunardi and the fact that he was calling LSU in if they beat UK last saturday. I win against #1 UF > UK on the road.

People underestimate the amount of bad losses that other bubble teams have, as well. People are still sort of talking about us.
I know we've got a STEEP hill to climb, but I'll ride.

Agreed. I think the UF game is the only thing keeping us in the conversation to be honest though. I can't see for the life of me how LSU gets in without winning Saturday or the SEC tourney of course, but like you suggested I haven't been on point with other bubble teams' schedules.
