I hate to say it, but no. To us fans, the LSU offense looked like it would have trouble against a high school defense. This is an obvious problem that has to be addressed. His lack of urgency to fix this problem is troubling.
Keeping Crowton does no good for the football program.

However, retaining Crowton after the past two years means Miles is "All In" for 2011. That's a big gamble to take with a $500 million dollar football program. I hope Mile's stubborness isn't writing checks that the team can't cash next year....
Did I miss something? Our record was 10-2 right? The two loses coming on the road to the #1 and #7 team?
Didn't the 2007 National Champs lose 2 games...both against unranked opponents and one at home?
OH I forget...I am sure some people were calling for Les' job after winning the BCSNC.
Y'all are cracking me up with this non-sense.

I've seen Crowton call some great games with flynn under center. i think that we owe it to him to give him a chance to call a game with someone that is average under center, unlike what we have now.
if, after i see him call a shitty game with a real q.b., i will make my decision then.

this could take a very long time to see.

Yes - if we get Mett.
We won 10 game this year, BUT the O was not where it needs to be to win championships.
If we keep Crowton, provide him with the QB he wants, but
... still have an O ranked below say 40 or 50,
... still don't compete for a championship, and/or
... still don't get to a BCS bowl,
then that will be on Miles and Miles will lose my support and should be on a very hot seat.
Miles keeps Crowton at his own risk - if it doesn't work out next year then Miles should be held accountable - no third chance to rework the offensive staff IMHO.

why?
Very simple, even a negatiger can understand. Well..within 3 weeks:
They are the only ones who can win games for the University, who employs them.

It was nowhere near that level. The offense was barely a college level offense

I will not be a Miles supporter because he has had ample time to correct this situation and nothing has been done.
To me, this was Crowton's year to prove he could get the offense going. Didn't happen.
Crowton is a cancer. Miles needs to get off his arse and do something.

because we had a q.b. that ranked 2 on a scale of 1-10. do you blame crowton for calling plays like that with a "2" for a q.b.?
in fact, if you win 10 games with a "2", it's pretty impressive. I know you remember when we used to call him a wizard when he had a q.b. that at least ranked "7".

Can we drop this juvenile term? It seems to be used only by 80 year old men who believe they and their small minority are superfans.

this is crowton third year since flynn left. it's his responsibility to get a qb in here above a "2" as you put it. should he not be held responsible for our current qb situation?

You missed TheBoob584's "Apology Tour" 2010. First stop was an apology to Russell Shepard for dropping passes.

Unfortunately, no. I have been a supporter of Les since the beginning, but if he really keeps GC, they both need to hit the road.
ETA: If he were to bring in a stand-alone QB coach I would give him one more year.

Maybe if Crowton actually knew how to fricking coach QBs he wouldn't be calling plays with a '2' out of 10 QB.

I am confused.... if according to the people we support the coach because he is a member of the university, does that mean I have to support Crowton? Am I not allowed to be critical of any coach or only the coaches they like?
