Maybe Coach Wade will call a timeout so you can think about it a little longer

The obsession with ULL is ridiculous. People might want to chill on throwing all those rocks given glass house LSU lives in right now.

First round NIT game against ULL in 2018, which was Wade's first season here.

ULL's coach had been running his mouth and pitching a fit leading up to the game about how it wasn't fair that LSU was seeded higher and getting to host the game.

Reached a bit of a boiling point and during the game Wade called a timeout that was clearly meant to be an "F U" to ULL's coach. Then in the post-game presser, Wade pretty much confirmed that by responding to a question of why he called the TO and looked over at ULL's bench when he said something like, I wanted their coach to have a longer opportunity to take it all in or admire our gym or something like that. Was hilarious to LSU fans at the time and ULL will forever hate Wade for that one game.

I forgot all about Marlin actually trying to go after Wade on the court.

He even turned to the ULL bench and said "enjoy that timeout."

I love that man.

I think you have it backwards. It is ULL that does and always has had an obsession with LSU. They consistently portray an attitude like they have been disrespected somehow and should be viewed on the same level as LSU, which is just completely delusional. While ULL is a good school in its own right and has done some things athletically, they do not even come close to comparing to LSU in either category.

No one is throwing rocks and the 2 situations are not comparable. This thread was simply taking what was a very small jab by Wade last night and reminiscing on a pretty funny moment from his first year here. A moment that really made LSU fans fall in love with him as our coach. Also a moment that Bob Marlin and ULL very much deserved and had coming to them.

I think most of us are in the same boat. After years of Trent Johnson and Johnny Jones standing there with their arms folded starting at the court, it was a breath of fresh air to see some fight on the sideline.

My father really couldn't care less about basketball. However, a day to two before that game he called and asked me if I was going and could he come along. Maybe the first time in my life he ever ACTIVELY wanted to attend a game. He had heard on the radio about the pettiness between the coaches ahead of the game and wanted to go.

Because it was a blowout at the end we left a few minutes early to walk to the car...and missed the best part!!!

I live in laffy, theyre obsessed with LSU. See the football season when they were bragging that they were the only ranked team in Louisiana. I dont see LSU fans shitting on other Louisiana schools, maybe tulane a little, because other state schools know their place
