It's not an excuse moron, its reality. You do not get to take a 10-win team and make them a national contender overnight, it is a process. It's not about whether you coached somewhere else before, its about how long it takes to build a program where you are at.
By the way, it took Bruce Pearl 4 years to even get Auburn in the Tournament...under your theory he should have been fired since he had multiple successful coaching stops prior to Auburn. Should have won immediately.
Tony Bennett and Jay Wright had jobs before they got to their current destinations and it took them time to build a program.
Wade was 34 when he was hired at LSU, Bennett and Wright were both 39-40 when hired at their current schools, and Bruce Pearl was 54!
If you were calling the shots, Bennett and Wright would have been fired from their jobs and never won national championships.

All things considered, he is likely to get LSU in its 4th tournament (yes counting 2020) in a row. LSU has not had this kind of consistent success since Dale in the late 80’s - early 90’s. Am I satisfied with just making the tournament, no. Do I think Wade at 39 years old is capable of getting this program to a consistent second weekend / final four contender, yes.
Go look at Jay Wright a Nova. Took him 4 years to make the tournament...
ETA. If you want to see what a good recruiter, but bad coach looks like, go to Memphis. Consistent top 5 classes and can’t make the tournament.
ETA 2: Tony Bennett is another good example of building to long term success. Took him 3 years to make the tournament...

I will say this only one time. I do not hate Will Wade but I drank the koolaide five years ago. I got excited about this program. Now...I have no clue what to do with will Wade. I have lost hope in his program and his future at LSU.

No he isn't. That being said he isn't the second coming of John Wooden like some of these fly by night LSU basketball fans think he is. They don't know of LSU basketball ball before 2010.

No he isn’t terrible. This isn’t his best year coaching. He will hire better bench coaches, bring in top tier talent and improve.
