Full transcript from his press conference. He did speak about being arrogant when he was younger, etc but that’s clearly not the same quote that is included in the AP article
If you still want to deny that the reporter was being dishonest with the direct quote from Wade, then I can’t help you but don’t act like it was something paraphrased from his press conference

What exactly do you think "it" and "that" refer to?
"Illegal" would mean "against the rules" of the governing body. There is nothing illegal or criminal that Wade did.
He would be a witness in an bribery case and separately, being extorted. There is nothing illegal about his choices (not saying they were great), but no one was coming to arrest Wade.

Why would anyone make that bet?
NC state has made the S16 fourteen times, most recently just 2 years ago. Before that it was 2015
LSU has only made the S16 ten times, last time being 6 years ago. Before that it was 2006

Clearly not interested in making any bets between LSU’s program & NC State’s currently. They are on two very different trajectories
