Lonergan definitely takes T-Bob's spot. I think we can only go up for as bad as it was last year. Barkesdale is a good addition to the starting line up. Alot depends on coaching as well. I am not sold on the coach.

imo it'll be the most improved unit of the team.

I agree for many reasons. I think we will have much better personnel with Blackwell and Hurst in the lineup. This improves our running game quite a bit imo. The interior of our line was weak in all aspects of the game. I don't think we'll see DTs just running right over our guards and center this year. Yes, another year in the weight room helps especially JD.

Jefferson for all his troubles will improve and his improvement and the OL's improvement will feed off each other. I don't think this unit will be world beaters but I believe we'll be able to get the tough 2 yards when needed. I think on obvious passing plays you won't see the RG beat with one move while at the same time the center is getting blasted into the backfield.

Jefferson still needs improvement but I believe the OL will give him enough time to make them.

Not sure it could actually be worse than last year.

Just some consistency from game to game in being able to run the ball & pass protect would be nice.

We were totally pushed around last year inside. Lonergan and Hurst will make a big difference. This will help.

I think the big problem is the zone blocking scheme. It does not fit the linemen LSU has, because they are not athletic enough for it.

ok then, what do you propose when there is a 405 lb NT facing us?
That happened and we crumpled like the front end of a Volvo.

If I read your statement, it means they were
too small compared to the elite teams, and not athletic compared to the elite teams.
