What is Bama's defense ranked?
prob 1st.
Most likely the reason we could score a td.
Even though they gave us the ball on their 15.
However let me help you understand something jason brown.
If you would read carefully before posting you would know that alamaba was never a part of this paticular discussion.
Good try though.

Well This is what they are right now. Updated after Saturday's game.
Oregon - 64 total defense
Miss St - 42nd total defense
West Virginia - 25th total defense
Kentucky - 49th total defense
Florida 10th total defense
Auburn- 78th total defense
Alabama - 1st total defense
I mean outside of Bama and suprisingly Florida these arent exactly shutdown defenses.

Dude what is the fricking point?
What exactly are you trying to say?
Actually you made my point stronger bc this discussion was about best qb play of the year being vs wva... and they are ranked 25th.
Why did you leave ark out?

Like WVU was our 2/3 biggest game of the year and had the best production from the QB?
Let's forget Alabama, Oregon, Arkansas?
you really are splitting hairs aren you?
#1 bama
#2,3,4 is a toss up between orgeon, ark and wva that if you asked 100 LSU fans youd prob get 100 diff answers.

Tigerlee,
MY POINT was that for all the talk about how "great" Lee played all year long he sure did so against HIGHLY suspect defense. Same goes for JJ as well.
But people make it sounds like we wouldnt have gotten to 8-0 without Lee. I might have believed that had I not seen some of these defensive rankings.
And as for the WVU game. Lets be honest. They couldnt stop the run to save their lives. When LSU ran the ball we got yards in chunks.
Ware had a 16 yd run. Ford a 22 yd run for a TD and Blue had an 18 yd run for a TD. They were so terrified of the run the play action was extremely deadly. Lee had wide open lanes to pass through all night.
I dont want to take anything from Lee. He played great. But I wondered what he would have done had the running game been taken away from him.

Not a single person would say WVU was a bigger game than OU, Ark, Bama. And only you would say the QB position played the best against WVU.

No it is not and that IS the point. And that is what makes you delusional. Everything you see is tinted through your JL glasses. LSU just went undefeated and is priimed to win its third crystal ball and through your glasses what do you see? JL being disrespected. In other words, JL and his feelings are bigger than the team in your eyes.
LSU is going to the SEC Championship for the first time since 2006 and what's uppermost in your mind. Will JL get to play?

the 25th ranked defense on the road in the game of the week is not what Id call "highly suspect"
Crap defenses are om and au and nrthwestren... any team in the top 50 IMO deserve our respect.

All Im saying and have said is that JL is JUST AS MUCH responisble for that 8-0 record as any other player/unit on our football team.

So? we threw the ball all over them as well... basically 50-50 and we shut the pass down in the 4th qrter which is where alot of rushing yards came from.

JJ is the one that has excelled due to a rushing game .. how many total yards rushing have we had the past three weeks?
Ill tell you....930 yards.
Nine Hundered and thirty fricking yards in three games.

Not necessarily right but it's over. This question is settled. JL's done.

If we are winning by 2+ TDs late...yes.

ok its oregon and ark.
Not bama.
Bigger?
maybe not.. as big?
Yeah Id say so... especially the ark game.
Id like to see ark and wva play.. It be good match up.

TigerLee .. take your own advise about these threads and stop posting in JJ/JL threads.
There are 80 other players who are responsible for this teams current position. JJ/JL is an issue people focus because of the position (QB) and because of race.
Ware was primarily responsible for the first few wins along with defense. Ware may be sidelined if other RBs are performing better.
JL may have been as responsible for the first 8 wins as Ware was. If you are not concerned about other RBs superceding Ware, you should similarly ignore a QB superceding JL.
Miles burnt a red-shirt at Oxford because an eligible senior was found wanting. It's possible that Miles may have found JL wanting because of the gameplan that put together and practiced in summer.
Of course, it's the rant. You want to rave .. go ahead. But if you ask someone else to stop, could you at least try to pause!

geeeeeeeees, another person that chooses to not read.
I said JL was AS responsonbile for the sucess of this team as ANY OTHER player/unit, which is an undisputed fact.
I dont give a dman about race... so save that for someone else.

Only proeblems with RBs is that there 3-4 of them.. Hell theoritcally they could all have 10 rushing attempts a piece per game.. so that dog dont hunt in this paticualar discussion.

How many of those yards were from the QB? How did the option affect our running game? How many passing yards did we have in those 3 games?
JJ does things to this offense that Lee can't. He makes bigger plays on a more consistent basis that changes games

2 Problems with this.
1. Their secondary is horrible. and 2, they play in a conference where you are not going to find too many "explosive" offenses. Just because its the "game of the week" doesnt make their defense better or as good on paper.

Hmm 60% agree with you while giving more of a nod to our defense over every other person or unit on the team. JL and the defense are not on equal terms. You got to admit that.

We were able to "throw the ball allover them as well" because of the run game. There were time where they would put any from 7-9 guys in the box with that 3-3-5 defense and STILL couldnt stop the run. EVERYONE knew going into this game LSU was a run first, pass second team. This is, like I said, the reason why play action was soo deadly. We didnt just go all Oke ST and line up in the shotgun and sling it all over the field.

Here is the BIG problem with what you are saying. JJ hasnt EXCELLED DUE TO THE RUSHING GAME, he has contributed to it with his running and scrambling out of the pocket as well as running the read option. JL was the biggest winner due to our running game. He didnt contribute to it at all.

like what?
run the option?
Scramble?
Yeah he does those two things better.
I just wish you people would admit the reason JJ plays over JL is because LM prefers it.
IMO both these guys give us the same chance to win. JJ doesnt make "bigger plays more consistanly" than JL does.... thats an opinion. NO factual basis to that whatso ever.
JL in his starts (which are more than twice what JJ's are) this season has proven this to be true.. vs stronger competition.
Im not trying to take anything away from JJ.
Not one time have I done this.. .. but for some of you thats not good enough.
If you dont say "JJ is better than JL and thats why he starts" then you end up in a 10 page back and forth tirade just like this one.

Im not saying that.. however you have three phases to a football team.. and at this level of play it takes contribution from all 3 to get where we are.
Without JL and JJ we prob drop a game somewhere.

If I remeber correctly vs wva we came out thrwoing the football.. The pass set up the run in that game..as it was proven on the playaction td to OBjr.

It works both ways dude.
Throwing hleps running just like running helps throwing.. Both IMO contributed to the sucess to the other while JL was under center.
Thats just how I see it.
We can agree to disagree.

Specious argument. You claim that you never said JJ was worse. You always make a case for JL.
