YES, from me, and that's all that counts.
frick the negamiles a..holes.

Name a coach that has never blown games. Just one.
Now, that is more relevant to a discussion of a top 3 coach.

If he would have won on 1-9-12 then yes he would, for beating saban twice in the same year.

LMAO again. So please tell me, what is your criteria for evaluating a coach. It is a given that wins/losses are not important to you....HAHA.....you do realize that LES has led LSU to it's best 7 1/2 year stretch in LSU history, and during that time LSU is near or at the top of the NCAA in winning %....this is hilarious. You are either that ignorant, or I suspect just trolling.
Nah, not trolling. Nor did I say he was a terrible coach. I personally don't like him because he is a terrible in-game coach and that is very important to me because of how frustrating poor game management is. Comparing winning percentages versus coaches with nowhere near the resources he has is absurd as your only metric.

The ones that cant's get past the bolded headlines and the talking heads? There are quite a few of those.

The best time of LSU CFB being met with trepidation and a sense of 'I'm not sure'. Deserved indeed. Fitting and right.

For example, if LSU loses to South Carolina this year, I don't think it will automatically be a "blown" game just because we were supposed to win. Now, if it is painfully transparent that a clock mismanagement or terrible decision costs us a chance at the game, that would be a blown game.
So, how does losing to UAB/ULM/Utah rank on your "blown" games list? lmao......you do realize you are getting destroyed right? Also, please don't use "we" in your statements as if describing LSU.

He's better than coaches that have the same resources and then some.

Utah was an excellent club. UAB/ULM probably gets a pass. As to why, we'll never know.

LOL...what an idiot/troll...
Okay, let's compare his winning % over the last 7 1/2 years to the other top 10 schools in the nation that DO HAVE the resources. That's the part trolls like you fail to see. LSU isn't the only school with the resources...there are about 10-15 that EXPECT to win every year and pay a lot of money (legally or illegally) to do so. You don't like Les Miles....you are probably a young kid....and I would like for you to name your top 8 coaches (in your opinion). This should be fun if you have the balls.

Where do you think he falls in the coaching ranks? How do YOU think he should be remembered?
Don't know enough about all time but currently......Depends if you dissociate himself from his name/current position. he is only going to go to big programs(stay at LSU, Michigan, etc) and have a reputation as a winning coach so he would get great recruiting classes, always be in a winning program, etc. So in that regard, he would be a top 10 hire for a team like Michigan, Nebraska, Florida St. But based purely on coaching ability, I have him behind a lot of coaches.

No they weren't. They were a solid ball club with nowhere near the talent of alabama overall. He did not get his team ready, and it was obvious they did not want to be there. He even went so far as to blame the fans afterward. Of course, nick always gets a pass.

Maybe one day, LSU will be able to retire Mile's White Hat. If things continue along like they have for Les and LSU, then I think more respect will come his way.
I've been frustrated with Les in the past, but last year's regular season run really showed that he could coach some mighty fine football.

He does here, which is what is odd.

Good thing you aren't making the calls then isn't it. Not a big picture type of guy are you. Clearly, what he is doing OVERALL is working very, very well. You probably need to re-evaluate your criteria for what makes a successful coach. Talent is probably the number 1 thing...at the end of the day.

K. Saban had ONE good year at MSU and it got him the LSU job. Now he's at Bama. Call it a hunch but I don't think he'd be having the same level of success at a place like Clemson or even in the Big 10.

yep...until he got his boy back in the saddle...and became stubborn with him. That is my major fault with Miles. He is far too stubborn. In January, it was like if he had put Lee in there, and Lee had any success, then it would have made Les look bad...so he would rather not have taken that chance...jmo

Fair enough, name all these schools who have the same resources as us. People take for granted that LSU is rare in that it is the only major football school in our state. A state that is loaded with talent.
As for my top coaches, it would go something like....
1)Dantonio
2)Patterson
3)Peterson
4)Spurrier
5)Saban
6)Meyer
7)Brian Kelly
8)Chip Kelly
9)James Franklin
10)Gundy
