Over Gonzalez? He has prior experience at Auburn in that role.

he wasn't exactly the OC @ Auburn....he "filled in" some with play calling during Tubby's last year after Tony Franklin was fired mid-season...

During his six seasons at Auburn, Ensminger coached the quarterbacks in 2003 and followed that by coaching the tight ends for the next five years. As the quarterback coach at Auburn, Ensminger helped develop Jason Campbell, who went on to become an NFL first round draft pick.

While at Auburn, the Tigers led the SEC in scoring offense in both 2004 (32.1) and 2005 (32.2) and they were first in the league in total offense in 2005 (409.8).

For the good of the football program, hopefully Crowton is history after this season & LSU looks elsewhere for a proven OC with a good track record--let both Gonzalez & Ensminger stay where they are.
