Will ain't ready IMO. Have taken kids to camp and this seems to be his level. Very arrogant from what I hear! He has made no decisions on those teams. Maybe become top assistant somewhere first!
Take a break

So what happens with Dean now that ellick is taking his place?

So what happens with Dean now that ellick is taking his place?
That is, if no opening on the current coaching staff appears.

I'm kind of hoping for the LSU-E HC to get hired by McNeese.

Dean was able to coach because he was still in undergrad. If he's to continue to be on LSU staff after graduation, he's going to have to be one of the official assistant coaches. The Volunteer Assistant spot that Will Davis currently occupies is usually the spot that most people start their coaching career.
Most don't get their first coaching job at the premier baseball school in the country, I guess unless their Godfather is head coach or something.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Dean get on with a JC as a paid assistant or a Southland school as the volunteer and then work his way up the ladder in the coaching profession. ETA: If that's what he wants to do for his career.
Mainieri's got a lot of ties in the coaching community, and that is going to serve him well.

Ok, cool. I wasn't sure how it worked. Hopefully a new guy would be able to throw lefty bp.

There is always going to be someone around to do that.
It's vital.

I have read quotes from players and coaches saying how valuable that was this year.
Mabey he throws a more realistic pitch than some trainer I guess

His ND bio doesn't say that, and I figured that's the best place to look for quirky info. But their roots run deep, so I wouldn't rule it out.

It is a credit to his overall baseball skills that he could transform himself into a pretty good hitter after his pitching days were over.
He brings a good mix of player communication and practice skills to the team.
I'd hate to see him leave especially considering his younger brother, Dakota, is committed to playing for LSU next season.

Aren't godfathers named like within a week or a month or so after the child is born? At least that was how it was in the movie The Godfather.

I was named my niece's godfather probably about 4 months before she was born.
Sanchez' older brother played from Mainieri at St Thomas and they went to the same high school he did. It's not inconceivable that Mainieri knew his dad prior to '81.

well because he is wrong, we let javi go and then dean can be the hitting coach in title but learn under the bregs. once bregs leaves dean should be the top hitting coach in the country if he takes good notes
