9 pages of bullshite over comments by Blackwell about a potential phone call?????
If I was Miles I woul dbe pissed at my OL. Talking to Blackwell, Hurst or Lonergan would not be high on my list. Dudes mailed it in in the biggest game of the year.

But Blackwell shot down the rumor traveling across message boards and through email accounts in the week after the game, saying there was no heated argument between players and Miles prior to the game.
“It’s ridiculous,” Blackwell said of the rumor.
Still, he understands why a rumor like that would get started in the wake of such a poor performance.
“To have the season that we had and to go out and play a game like that, there obviously has to be something wrong in the eyes of the fans,” Blackwell said. “You know, somebody came up with this idea that there was a fight and people jumped on it. There’s no truth to that. It is totally fictional.”
This is what Blackwell said before what was
originally posted.
This is a quote from Brandon Taylor at the
end of the same article.
quote:
For safety Brandon Taylor, the game boiled down to two things – the defense’s inability to get Alabama off the field quickly and the offense’s lack of rhythm.
“When you’re playing a team like that, you’ve just got to be on your a game and we really weren’t on our A game that night,” Taylor said.
Like one of the posters above said. Read the whole article.

MILES mailed it in before the game even started and Saban kicked his foot up Miles' arse during the game.
It was a total arse whipping and blame is on MILES for not having the team prepared and not doing anything during the game to adjust.
Never seen a more pathetic coaching job in a championship game.

I have only read the first few posts of this thread, but, "C'mon man!"
Miles' job is equal to being the CEO of a major corporation. Of course there will be incidents where his decisions, or lack of personally giving everyone time they want from him, where he can be scrutinized as being callous. How long does he have to keep a personal relationship with his players after they leave? He's gonna be criticized in some way no matter what he does, and I'm sure he understands that too. That's one reason he makes the money he does. Everybody needs to stop looking for reasons to get mad at him because LSU didn't become the GOAT like they all were bragging earlier in the year. Life is not perfect, neither is the head coach of LSU, I know that's hard to accept, but it's true. There are a lot of immature, ignorant people on the hate wagon, that really don't understand why they are hatin'. Life is short, go do something with yourself besides mourning 24-7.
ETA: I am also pissed about the loss and believe it was because of poor preparation and game planning, but I'm ok now. I believe the coaching staff made a mistake and hopefully will correct it. Let's not all call mutiny and start eating the ship just yet.

Here's a trivia question for yall. Who had more career sacks in college, Luther Davis (DE) at Alabama or Will Blackwell (OG) at LSU?

I agree with your post, but this cliche'/metaphor has grown way tired and old here on the Rant...

well I haven't seen it used before, but I don't get a ton of reading done on here. If it is anything like the "purple and gold glasses," I truly apologize.

Will Blackwell is the guy in the famous video highlighting JJ shuttle interception, in part of that video he appears to be murdering some Alabama player.
I also don't get the negative vibe from his comment, nor do I understand why these players need some psychological closure to a great season.
move on already.

do not be in denial of the mysteriously bizarre performance (including the coaching decisions) that we witnessed on January 9th.
We got beat bad by a very good football team. Nothing worked for LSU that night and Bama was really good that night. Nothing "mysterious" happened. Jesus some of you are absolutely retarded. Does everyone forget that our offense went thru periods of pretty bad struggles in probably half of the games this season? So is it really a shock that against bama, our offensive struggles could continue for the entire game on that given night?

Impossible for some of these morons.
I think some of these losers would rather lose and bitch about it for months than win it all and have nothing to whine about all offseason.

Les would call him back. I know it.
Folks, face it. Miles isnt the good guy we all wanted him to be. Read each line carefully from Blackwell

It has been tough to get a hold of him.
Clearly he has been trying. So stop protecting Miles with "How do you know he called?"
quote:
I'm finished. He doesn't need me anymore."
Sounds if WB feels tossed out like yesterdays newspaper. Probably true based on his earlier comments
quote:
“Jarrett won nine games and we did very well in those nine games,” Blackwell said. “I feel like he throws the ball a little bit better than Jordan, but on the other hand Jordan runs it a little better than Jarrett. It’s kind of a pick your poison deal.
“Unfortunately tonight we picked the wrong one.”
Miles does not like to be questioned
It has been said on the Rant before, and in light of having no other explanation for the embarassing offense Miles ran, I firmly believe it to be true ...
Miles would rather lose with JJ, than allow Lee to prove him wrong
