Will backpacks be allowed in Husky Stadium?

I have searched the huskies website and it does not state clearly if backpacks are allowed. I figure I will be leaving the hotel early in the day and it would be nice to pack a light jacket and some rain gear for the game.

yeah they are. Well maybe not I know you can have bags but backpacks might not be allowed due to the number of pockets

I read the regulations last night. Backpacks are allowed but they are subject to search

2009 HUSKY FOOTBALL GAME DAY GUIDE
BAG INSPECTIONS
All bags (including purses, fanny packs, backpacks, coolers) will be visually inspected before being allowed
into Husky Stadium. All prohibited items (see list) will not be allowed into the stadium. Expect lines to get
into the stadium and arrive early to avoid delays. Fans who leave the stadium will be subject to bag
inspections upon reentry.

Yes, anyone with Tiger gear will be subject to a full cavity search.

I have always wanted to ask this question, unless you have a small child, why bring a purse or backpack to the game. I have been going to the games for many years and have never seen the need for one, just curious.
