I don’t believe football will be hit with harder sanctions than these. LSU is asking to keep the two sports separate during the investigation and not be lumped together. The fact that they gave back OBJ’s cash and that Miles and Alleva are no longer here regarding the Funes stuff should help our case. The NCAA has set a precedent with matters like this and if they choose to make an example out of LSU, it would be complete BS.

But didn’t the NCAA say “no” to that?

That’s my concern - not that we get hit with anything else major specifically over the OLOL stuff, but that we get fricked due to spillover from the basketball investigation.

The other thing that sucks about the NCAA refusing to separate the two investigations is that we may not have closure on the football matter for a while, which can be used to negatively recruit against us.

When schools self impose, admit fault, the NCAA fricking hammers them worse. See Mizzou and Ole miss

Ole Piss didn’t admit to shite besides a few secondary violations in an attempt to cover up the bigger stuff they were up to. Then they got burned by their and their players’ own stupidity and arrogance.

they got off on a technicality.

because even regular arse students were also benefitting, it “technically” isn’t an athletics violation at that point.
