I see rouge’s point. I think you need a lot of depth at running back because they do get very banged up. And he may not be ready to compete for a starting spot, health wise, at the beginning of the season. And he knows our system. So it makes sense for him to take a little more time to heal and maybe get a good opportunity at the tail end of the season when he is healthier.

Never know what can happen with injuries. He knows he isn't likely to get a lot of carries and has accepted it. I don't know his reasons for staying because I'm not a mind reader. I don't care either. That's his business and I hope it works well for him.

He is coming back because he had no where else to go. 5 star bust coming off major knee surgery.

Maybe he wants to be a coach someday and this is best place to stay to advance his career after football. He’ll be a great leader in that RB room
