Because he’s not a good person and has ruined the LSU football program?

He's not a good guy as evidenced by his off field behavior. Even worse, he's a poor colleague based on the way he lied and manipulated his way into his current (and soon to be ex) job.

He's not highly thought of in coaching circles.

Why the personal hatred for Coach O?

Some Ranards (not a majority of LSU fans) have this idea that they are somehow entitled to something by LSU athletics; not just football either. So when their expectations aren't met, they lash out. Think toddlers having a tantrum.

Personalizing their disappointment by attacking every thing about the "offending" coach somehow makes them feel better.

It's a pretty immature mindset. But maturity and rational thinking are not required to post on the Rant.

I like O.

I just don’t want him ruining LSU football any more.

He needs to be gone, now, not 5 games from now.

Because he's ruined the brand in just under 2 years.

After the best CFB Season in History.

It was fools gold with Aranda, Brady and Burrow.

Cause LSU fans are the worst in the country. Totally spoiled…… just wait two weeks and see how the hatred grows.

Expecting a program with LSU's resources, in-state talent, and post-championship in 2019 to do better than 50% (two of which were rent-a-wins) is not unreasonable.

I'm about sick and tired of people claiming LSU fans expect championships every season.

Of course they don't, but you damn sure better find a way to bat better than .500 if you're making Coach O cheese and have one of the best recruiting rosters in the league.

In short, O, staff, and players have fallen short of even meager winning season expectations.

Change starts at the top, bummer for O but the truth hurts.

That's all true but a lot of LSU fans take it as a personal affront. Like Orgeron took a dump in their flower bed or something

Because being an LSU fan is some people’s entire personality, and poor LSU performance is taken very personally.

O deservedly takes the lion’s share of the blame, but it really shouldn’t be so personal.

The product on the field in the UK and OM games would make a dump in my flower bed look like a Rembrandt.

Calling out poor performance and mediocrity is not a sin.

I hate the President of LSU and I don’t believe I’ve even seen a pic of him yet much less met him, I’ve read enough on him and by him to form this opinion, besides it’s my emotions and opinions not yours

Because he's a slimy salesman who doesn't really love LSU, lied about it to get the job, lied about it every day to fans, etc.

He's also incompetent, but eh, there are a lot of incompetent people who deserve compassion.

He's basically a less intelligent politician/good ole boy (read: baw), and a caricature of Louisiana. He does nothing positive for the state outside of 2019, and we're seeing just how self centered he actually is, and probably always was.

The guy was an underdog from the start and managed to fall arse backwards into the job.

There were a GREAT MANY on this forum and in the community who weren't excited about the hire (to put it mildly).

What happened in 2019? Legendary Heisman QB, great coordinators, and an exceptional roster who managed to stay mostly healthy.

After that, uninspiring play on the field and a coach who openly states "I don't know what went wrong!" Totally incapable of self examination or reflection. Also, apparently a cast of character as players who value social justice above football.
