No one likes Atlanta. We go there all the time. It's not new, exciting, or particularly fun. It's boring, familiar, and routine. The Chik-fil-a also just isn't that prestigious of a bowl.

What an insult that I will have to watch such a bowl game on television.

As someone mentioned before, no game other than a BCS game would make our fans happy. However, we are part of a conference, and when you don't take care of business, the conference dictates where you go. The Capitol One Bowl is in the ghetto with nothing to do around it, including no hotels. Atlanta is driveable and there is plenty to do there. I've had fun every time LSU has played in Atlanta. I still haven't recovered from the Iowa loss in Orlando, and the frickin' mud bowl with Penn State.

All you douchebags who are trying to turn this into a Negatiger issue need to STFU. LSU is the 6th ranked team in the country. They might be higher than that after next week. And yet up to three better New Years Day or later bowls are going to skip us and give their bids to SEC teams ranked lower than us--two of whom we beat in the regular season.

That's why it sucks. It's a shitty bowl game. And if we go again, that's 5 times in 15 years. The only bowl game I want to go to every 3 years is the Sugar.

Nobody is going there with it. It's just that we can't pretend to get excited about watching LSU play in the Chic Fil A bowl against Clemson, like it's 1996 all over again.

Maybe I can try to pretend while eating Top Ramen and drinking Nasty Light with Soundgarden playing in the background on my 22" tube tv - and I'll call in to make sure somebody covers my shift at the restaurant. Hope I make some good tips tomorrow night!

There are 3 SEC teams ahead of us in the BCS rankings. What do you expect to happen when were're only the 4th best team in our conference?

And on strength of record we may not even be that? Are we really better than A&M? We beat them head to head, but they put away Bama when we couldn't. Same record, and they're certainly playing much more impressively now than we are, in addition to having a Heisman candidate QB.

If we want a good bowl we need to not end up looking like the 5th best team in the conference. Please show me any other conference where the 5th best team has a shot at a decent bowl.

After sitting through UVA/Auburn CFA game with a buddy who begged me to go last year, I can't argue this. 7-5 AU vs who gave a shite, woo. Some years are better than others. Just think if LSU was playing a 6-7 G Tech team.

So out of us, Alabama, and A&M, who is the best team, given that the better team is always the one that wins head to head?

I personally like the Chic Fil A; for the reasons you stated.....I hate cold weather, and it's indoors. Just MO.

Things are changing. Orange Bowl still has possibility of reeling in 6-6 GaTech. Rose might get 7-5 Wisconsin, and Cotton may get 8-4 Longhorns.
These three "prestigous" bowls are looking pretty lame, this year. ChickFilA may end up looking like a good match-up when all is said and done.

I much rather "chicken shite sandwich" bowl than Capital One Bowl for many of the reasons stated by the OP. Yes, I am disappointed another 10 win season will have us in Atlanta on December 31, but it is better than the Capital One for the fan.

LSU Clemson may be the best matchup of all the bowl games if that ends up being the game.
