Les Miles got ran off the field IN Tiger Stadium by MSU just a few years ago by a QB that he recruited to be a fricking FB.

I was at that game, it was ugly but we nearly came back. Now the Auburn game that was a train wreck that year. But what does that have to do with anything? Les was a better coach, won a national championship played in another. Went to 3 S3C championships and won 2. What has O done?

and its not like Canada's tendency to butt heads was some secret, a simple google search revealed that. But those concerns were shook off because here, like at Pitt no one would be meddling with his offense, it was his to run.

Canada went from being the greatest hire ever to an idiot that was just impossible to work with, yet somehow people have given O a total pass on this. So the guy O hand picked and gave a multi year contract worth millions is incompetent and a disruptive a-hole? How again is that no on O? "yeah but he rectified his mistake by firing him!!" Oh yeah, I should hope most grown men can clean themselves up if they shite all over themself, but hey it only cost the school a couple mil for O to learn the importance of vetting candidates.

Hate is in vogue right now. it used to be "outraged" and generally spoken by liberals. hate is the new neo con lexicon and it is freely espoused by LSU fans (a segment of) who hate ed orgeron, hate joe alleva, hate steve ensminger, hate paul maineri, who hate alexander king and who hate others in more minor capacities.

many of these haters feel entitled and think they know it all. they are still mad at the way the coaching search was conducted (even tho they don't really know what happened but love to embrace their own narratives on the subject) and the fact we ended up with coach that had a terrible resume'. because of this, LSU football is "doomed" and everything this coach does is wrong. they are 100% close minded.

I really wanted Fisher as our head coach. I kinda, sorta wanted Herman but was skeptical. however, even tho i'm older I have a much broader and open mind than most. I have learned to accept things when they are already done and open my mind to the future. I like a lot of what I see with Orgeron and I do not think Cajuns are universally dumb (as many on here have espoused).

without question Orgeron has strengthened this football team since his being named HC. I do not know if that will translate into the success we all want which is competing for titles. I am willing to give the man a chance. if he doesn't do it he should leave the cupboard in much better shape than his predecessor did.

Holy shite

I'm still supporting him and positive.

With that said, I can completely empathize with those who don't feel we were mentally or strategically ready for many of our games last year. People will forgive a rebuilding of talent but like Les, that wasn't our issue.

Until we win every game we should, zero tolerance from here on out...

ok, if it's unproven i'm willing to give him a chance to prove it.

it is certainly my opinion the team is improved but I personally witnessed our front 7 being completely destroyed by Chavis and Haley and I think it has finally been rebuilt. I personally witnessed our OL not being competitive against the top teams with strong front 7's and personally witnesses pretty damn poor QB play. I think all of those have been improved although I am skeptical about our OL.

you have your politards that seem to think a dislike for O means you're a cuck, liberal, snowflake. I don't really know how they relate exactly.

You literally just said it was "without question." Now you've already backtracked off that?

you're a nitpicking son of a bitch. ok, I should have said IMO. and it is my strong opinion that we have better players on this team than we've had in a while. in 2016 we couldn't make a first down in 2 tries only needing a yard against Wisconsin with the best RB in our history.

No, I just pay attention to what people say.

That still doesn't change anything.

The NFL disagrees.

And in 2017 we lost to State by 30 and Troy.

And last year the head coach didn’t have confidence to punch it in from the 2 inch line against a hapless notre dame.

He's stating a fact. You threw out all these definitive declarations, were met with objective responses questioning the definitive nature of your statements, you clearly walk them back and then all of a sudden he's a nitpicking son of a bitch? Have some balls and stand by your statements or don't act like a bitch when you're called out on them.

O isn’t even a Cajun. He’s what true cajuns call a “bayou blanc.”

Can you expound on this? As a Baton Rouge WASP I know nothing of this world.

Basically eating gumbo (with tomatoes ) and talking in a rigid accent doesn’t make one a cajun.

You mean the game where Fournette went over 100yds? Ran for 15 yards got hurt put us at the edge of field goal range and our QB threw a pick? Or where O was coach and we couldn't get a yard from the goalline against Florida?

I SPECIFICALLY think Ed Orgeron IS dumb. I don't think he's a smart man, in most any way you want to quantify that.
I'm going to slowly back away because this is where I tend to get a PM from the admins

Interesting. I can't get behind anyone who will ruin a good gumbo with tomatoes. Orgeron sounds pretty French to me, though. That said, I wouldn't put it past him to lie about being Cajun.
