So you're saying you went and stayed. I have no problem with that at all. If you can go and stay, by all means you should have the allotment. My beef is if you have a garaunteed allotment but can't make the games, you're allotment size should be reduced. It's simply a matter of right-sizing the allotment that I'm talking about. I don't really care what the organization is. If they aren't filling the allotment, it should be reduced to the amount they can fill.

My point was more that we only got 50 tickets for about 800 students, so we definitely are not why the student section looks empty.

OK, cool. Missed that; my apologies. I thought you were saying your organization wasn't able to fill the allotment because of the tests.

Everyone just wants to see a full stadium. I see both sides of this whole argument. I was there in the 90s when we didn't have many opportunities to leave early because of an LSU blowout so we stayed for every second. In this light, I understand why some may not be interested in continuing to watch a blowout. On the other hand, it does look pretty poor on TV for the stadium to be that empty.

Here's an idea. The Campus Cops and deputies love to beat people up, so let's have them beat the crap out of anyone trying to leave before a designated time. After a season or two leaving early won't be a problem!

Seriously I wished they just dump the season ticket holder list and throw it wide open to first come first serve again. Since that can't be done I think the only responsible answer is to let people who leave have their tickets scanned and ALLOW RE-ENTRY.

Anyone who leaves for whatever reason cannot get back inside the stadium. There are so many rules and regulations imposed upon the majority by the minority that it has seriously diluted the fan base to nothing more than occasional interest.

I would propose that as the stadium keeps expanding and the cost to see a game rises, you have a diminishing % of knowledgeable football fans and a higher % of social fans.

Social fans simply watch the score board and when comments on the outfits of nearby attendees run dry, the experience bores them and they are off to the party.

As the large #'s of social fans exit, Tiger Stadium looks very empty, even with a fairly stable number of solid fans of the game left scattered about.

I've been going to LSU games for almost 40 years.

The percentage of "social" fans in the stands has been pretty much the same the entire time. They've always been there.

Tiger Stadium is and always has been the greatest place to watch a college football game. People's romantic ideals of what it once was versus what it is now, are just that, though.
